Hola chicos 💗 Espero se encuentren bien, el día de hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una gran experiencia que tuve hace unos meses y para mí se convirtió en el mejor viaje que he tenido, personalmente me encanta viajar, conocer nuevos lugares y culturas.
Esta vez tocó el turno de conocer un lugar que añoraba visitar y se trata de Minca, es un corregimiento de la sierra nevada de santa Marta que es una ciudad de Colombia. Por aquí les compartiré más de mi experiencia.

Hi guys 💗 I hope you are well, today I want to share with you a great experience I had a few months ago and for me it became the best trip I've ever had, personally I love to travel, to know new places and cultures.
This time it was my turn to visit a place that I longed to visit and it is Minca, it is a small township in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta which is a city in Colombia. Here I will share more of my experience.

Eran las 10:00am cuando decidimos emprender nuestro viaje, con maleta, chalecos, moto y cascos listos salimos desde Barranquilla rumbo a Santa Marta, tuvimos la ventaja de que no estaba haciendo mucha brisa así que fue un viaje tranquilo.

A las 12:30 llegamos a Ciénaga donde decidimos hacer una parada para almorzar y descansar un rato, a la 1:20 seguimos nuestro viaje ya que el check in era a partir de las 2:00, cuando estábamos a punto de subir la montaña nos detuvimos en ara (en un supermercado) y compramos dulces, papitas, entre otras cosas.

Continuamos y aquí viene la parte emocionante, para subir a minca tienes que pasar unas curvas súper cerradas y si vas en moto tienes que ir a cierta velocidad, era mi primera vez en este viaje así que ya se podrán imaginar, era una combinación de adrenalina, emoción, susto. Pero todo eso valió la pena.

Al llegar nos perdimos un poco debido a que nuestro hostal quedaba en el medio de la naturaleza, así que decidimos dejar la moto en un parqueadero que era del lugar y caminar un poco hacia su entrada, no hay nada mejor que caminar oliendo la tierra recién mojada por la lluvia.

It was 10:00am when we decided to start our trip, with suitcase, vests, bike and helmets ready we left Barranquilla towards Santa Marta, we had the advantage that it was not very breezy so it was a quiet trip.

At 12:30 we arrived to Ciénaga where we decided to stop for lunch and rest for a while, at 1:20 we continued our trip since the check in was at 2:00, when we were about to climb the mountain we stopped in ara (in a supermarket) and bought candy, chips, among other things.

We continued and here comes the exciting part, to go up to Minca you have to go through some super tight curves and if you go on a motorcycle you have to go at a certain speed, it was my first time on this trip so you can imagine, it was a combination of adrenaline, excitement, fear. But it was all worth it.

Upon arrival we got a little lost because our hostel was in the middle of nature, so we decided to leave the bike in a parking lot that belonged to the place and walk a little to its entrance, there is nothing better than walking smelling the freshly wet earth from the rain.

Llegamos, nos dieron la bienvenida y las indicaciones, decidimos dejar las cosas en la habitación que por cierto quedaba en frente del rio así que teníamos la dicha de escucharlo cuando íbamos a dormir y al despertar. Salimos y empezamos a caminar el lugar para conocer, tenia área de piscina, restaurante-bar, fogata, área de billar, una casa en el árbol, espacios para descansar, paseos en bicicleta, zona de spa, área de lectura, a demás de muchas habitaciones más, habían unas muy lindas que eran tipo camping su nombre es Glampings (para tener más contacto con la naturaleza)

Decidimos bajar a conocer el rio ya que el hostal tenía conexión directa, el agua era bastante Clarita y helada 🥶 metimos los pies un rato mientras admirábamos nuestros alrededores y luego decidimos bañarnos. Al pasar unas horas decidimos volver, bañarnos un rato en la piscina y luego ir a descansar.

Pasadas las 6 de la tarde despertamos y decidimos salir para comer algo así que fuimos al restaurante-bar pedimos comida y mientras las preparaban decimos probar algún cóctel yo elegí la piña colada, llego nuestra comida eran pastas a la boloñesa estaba demasiado rica. Al terminar subimos al área de descanso y lectura en el cual decidimos ver una película mientras nos relajábamos en las mallas del hostal.

We arrived, we were welcomed and given directions, we decided to leave our things in the room which by the way was in front of the river so we had the joy of hearing it when we went to sleep and when we woke up. We went out and started to walk around the place to get to know it, it had a pool area, restaurant-bar, bonfire, billiard area, a tree house, spaces to rest, bike rides, spa area, reading area, besides many other rooms, there were some very nice rooms that were camping type, their name is Glampings (to have more contact with nature).

We decided to go down to see the river since the hostel had a direct connection, the water was quite clear and cold 🥶 we put our feet in for a while while we admired our surroundings and then decided to take a bath. After a few hours we decided to go back, swim for a while in the pool and then go to rest.

After 6 pm we woke up and decided to go out to eat something so we went to the restaurant-bar we ordered food and while they were preparing them we decided to try some cocktail I chose the pina colada, our food arrived it was pasta Bolognese it was too rich. When we finished we went up to the rest and reading area where we decided to watch a movie while we relaxed in the tights of the hostel.

Al día siguiente decidimos madrugar y despertamos con ese hermoso sonido del río mientras lo veíamos por la ventana, para aprovechar el día salimos bien temprano a dar un paseo quisimos ir hasta la plaza de Minca que quedaba a unos 15 minutos caminando desde donde estábamos. Al salir nos encontramos con que el cielo estaba azul brillante, el ambiente estaba demasiado fresco hasta se podría decir que un poco frío, así que se podrán imaginar la delicia de caminar entre árboles, escuchando los pajaritos y admirando la naturaleza.
La gente en especial los indígenas del lugar eran demasiado amables y educados con nosotros los turistas, nunca faltó un buen día, buenas tardes o buenas noches mientras nos los topábamos por el camino.

Decidimos volver al hostal para desayunar y alistarnos nuevamente a salir, la idea era conocer así que luego del desayuno, emprendimos nuestro siguiente destino que eran las cascadas de pozo azul 📍
Podíamos irnos en moto o en buses que hacen esos viajes pero, nosotros realmente queríamos disfrutar el paseo, sentir y admirar todo a nuestro al rededor mientras caminábamos. Nos topamos con un pavo real demasiado bello, encontramos árboles y matas gigantes, caballos, insectos, flores, a medida que nos íbamos acercando más a pozo azul más se sentía el frío y se escuchaba el sonido de la cascada.

The next day we decided to get up early and wake up with that beautiful sound of the river while we saw it through the window, to take advantage of the day we went out early for a walk we wanted to go to the square of Minca which was about 15 minutes walk from where we were. When we left we found that the sky was bright blue, the atmosphere was too cool, you could even say a little cold, so you can imagine the delight of walking among trees, listening to the birds and admiring nature.
The people, especially the indigenous people of the place were very kind and polite to us tourists, they never failed to say good morning, good afternoon or good evening as we bumped into them along the way.

We decided to return to the hostel for breakfast and get ready to leave again, the idea was to know so after breakfast, we undertook our next destination which was the waterfalls of pozo azul 📍.
We could go by motorcycle or by buses that make those trips but, we really wanted to enjoy the ride, feel and admire everything around us as we walked. We came across a peacock too beautiful, we found giant trees and bushes, horses, insects, flowers, the closer we got to pozo azul the more we felt the cold and heard the sound of the waterfall.

Llegamos, un ambiente hermoso y ni hablar de la vista. La idea de ir a la cascada a demás de admirarla era bañarnos para sentir el agua, era demasiado fría, tanto que al principio dude mucho en bañarme pero todo es parte de la experiencia y todo quedará en nuestros recuerdos, así que me metí y disfrute de ese momento.
Después de unas horas decidimos volver, de regreso tomamos la misma ruta por donde vinimos, todavía estaba los hermosos caballos que habíamos visto en la mañana.

Ya en el hostal, almorzamos y decidimos ir a arreglarnos para salir a cenar a la plaza.
Les cuento que para ir de noche a la plaza fue un tanto tenebroso porque habían muchos lugares que no tenían luz entonces nos tocaba caminar con la linterna del celular, escuchando los alrededores solamente.

We arrived, a beautiful environment and not to mention the view. The idea of going to the waterfall besides admiring it was to take a bath to feel the water, it was too cold, so much that at first I hesitated a lot to take a bath but everything is part of the experience and everything will remain in our memories, so I got in and enjoyed that moment.
After a few hours we decided to go back, on the way back we took the same route, there were still the beautiful horses we had seen in the morning.

Back at the hostel, we had lunch and decided to get ready to go out to dinner at the plaza.
I tell you that to go to the square at night was a bit scary because there were many places that had no light so we had to walk with the flashlight of the cell phone, listening to the surroundings only.

Al día siguiente ya era nuestro día de volver a la ciudad y a la realidad, así que despertamos igual de temprano y decidimos ir a la plaza a probar las famosas arepas de huevo que según nos habían dicho eran las mejores, confirmado que si lo eran. Volvimos al hostal, nos relajamos un rato en la piscina, jugamos un rato billar (no se jugar mucho en realidad 🤣) y decidimos hacer nuestros check out temprano para poder almorzar en casa y descansar ya que al día siguiente era día de trabajo.

The next day it was our day to go back to the city and to reality, so we woke up early and decided to go to the plaza to try the famous egg arepas that we had been told were the best, confirmed that they were. We went back to the hostel, relaxed for a while in the pool, played pool for a while (I don't really know how to play much 🤣) and decided to check out early to have lunch at home and rest since the next day was a work day.

Creo que las palabras se me quedan cortas para explicarles la maravillosa experiencia que vivimos ese fin de semana, el simple hecho de compartir y disfrutar de la naturaleza es algo indescriptible, podía cerrar los ojos y escuchar el río, a los pajaritos, sentir el viento frío, fue algo hermoso, si por mi fuese me hubiese quedado muchísimo más tiempo.

Todos necesitamos un descanso y perdernos un poco de la realidad a veces, en ese tiempo nos pudimos desconectar de todo, de redes sociales, de trabajo y demás. Las únicas veces que agarraba mi celular y lo usaba era para tomar fotos, pero aún así ni siquiera en todo momento lo hacía porque me encantaba lo que estaba a mi alrededor, tanto que me detenía a admirarlo.

I think words are too short to explain the wonderful experience we lived that weekend, the simple fact of sharing and enjoying nature is something indescribable, I could close my eyes and listen to the river, the birds, feel the cold wind, it was beautiful, if it were up to me I would have stayed much longer.

We all need a break and lose a little bit of reality sometimes, in that time we were able to disconnect from everything, social networks, work and so on. The only times I grabbed my cell phone and used it was to take pictures, but even then I didn't do it all the time because I loved what was around me, so much that I stopped to admire it.

El hostal se llama Chunnu, 3 días y 2 noches nos salió por $350.000 (pesos colombianos) que en dólares serían más o menos $90 esto incluía $100.000 entre los dos $25 dólares (para gastar en lo que quisiéramos del restaurante-bar) también incluía el desayuno y servicio de wifi completamente gratis. The hostel is called Chunnu, 3 days and 2 nights we went for $350,000 (Colombian pesos) which in dollars would be more or less $90 this included $100,000 between the two $25 dollars (to spend on whatever we wanted from the restaurant-bar) it also included breakfast and completely free wifi service.
