I'd say it is a plus to have a nice and warming attitude when vlogging to enable your viewers feel comfortable watching or listening to you BUT is that all there is to vloggig?

Just like blogging, making videos should be about giving good content to your viewers irrespective of the types of videos you make.

Make vlogging your own thing, because the other person portrays a particular attitude when making vlogs does not mean you should copy them. Learn from them not imitate them because what works for them may not necessarily work for you. Finding your own unique style to vlogging is something no one can take from you...maybe you can call that your own attitude.
