Hello, this weekend I took a tour of the main tourist attractions of the beautiful city of Almada, this city has more than a thousand years of history and despite not being the oldest in Portugal it has its own identity and we could see the most important monuments visited the Portuguese country in which we highlight the "Cristo rei, and the April 25 Bridge" I would have loved to record all the things that I show you but it is not possible to fly my drone over them, however we can see it quite close, come with me! !🌏🚩🌊

What is special about Almada?🚩🌄🧭🌏

To visit Almada is to take a tour of Portuguese history because it is considered a multicultural city, full of joy and with many places of tourist interest, in the city there is the largest monument in the Country, the Cristo Rei as well as the viewpoint of the April 25 bridge, which is the highest tourist viewpoint in Lisbon, the magical city of Almada is surrounded by river and in turn by sea on the west coast! Despite the fact that I did not manage to visit its beaches, it has more than 15km of beaches for your enjoyment!🌏🧭🚩

Let's start by visiting the "Da Paz" park located in the heart of Almada, 10 minutes walk from all the other tourist sites. It is your first mandatory visit for me! In the park you can exercise or enjoy a pleasant day with the family, it has 60 hectares of land, in the middle a lagoon was built full of an interesting variety of aquatic birds🌍🧠

The park was designed by the architect "Antonio Pardal", inside it we can find a 40 meter high structure, one of the things I recommend is to try to stay in a hotel around the park because from here you can literally see the capital, you will be one ticket away from reaching downtown Lisbon and there visiting the tourist attractions of the capital, and you can return to Almada by boat and live a new experience, all this for less than 5 euros per ticket. Almada is at the center of "everything".🚙🧭🌏

Road to the Cristo Rei sanctuary🚩🌄🧭🌏

This for me is one of the most visited monuments in Portugal, the Cristo Rei has a lot of history and was built to thank the Christian god for the neutrality of the Portuguese in World War II! In the world there are 4 monuments of Christ, the most famous being in Brazil, but Portugal has 2 and you can get the third in Angola! It was built at 113 meters high and rises next to the Tejo river, you can pay and enter until you climb to the top where you find a viewpoint! I obviously won't pay because I know a secret place with a better view of the river and the bridge!🚙🚩🌊

The site is not illegal, you can get here using googlemaps, and you don't need to pay at the Convento del Cristo to enjoy the best view of the river and the bridge! the 25 de abril bridge has an extension of more than 2 kilometers and joins the two borders of lisbon, the south bank and the center! Although it is not the only bridge because you can also go south crossing the Vasco de Gama, this is the most important and oldest, its work began in the 1960s and ended in 1966🚩🚙

As I was telling you, this entire journey took one hour and a little less than 2 kilometers to reach the sanctuary and the Christ, and that is why I recommend you stay in Almada if you plan to visit Portugal, it is a super WEEKEND adventure all this in just one day!!🧭🚙
