    About :

I don't know if I had told you, but I am a professor at the Simon Bolivar Conservatory of Music. For me, this has been a great experience because it is the school where I was trained and to be able to give back to future generations of flutists everything I received, is an honor. On the other hand, the students at the Conservatory tend to have different characteristics than my online students, they are usually teens and young adults committed to the instrument who want to make playing the flute their way of making a living. That is why they tend to get the best out of me, they demand that I am in the best conditions and the repertoire they work on is full of challenges. I am a teacher who will always be playing with you in class, for me playing is elemental in the teaching process, however, these guys from the Conservatory represent a great challenge because their repertoire is complex and difficult to play in an excellent way without having at least read it before. That is why I decided to start reviewing everything my students might be working on. I think it's an excellent opportunity to reencounter wonderful repertoire, learn from it and thus be able to teach my students many more things.
So I will be playing and recording part of that repertoire and sharing here my impressions and experiences, from the approach to the piece to my artistic and musical reflections.

The present piece is study number 4 from Ernest Koehler's first book (Op.33).

What do you think of the studio? Have you ever played this wonderful book? What experiences have you had playing Ernest Koehler's music?
