Buen día, mis colegas músicos y amantes de la música en general. El día de hoy quiero compartir un poco de mi experiencia musical en la #ExpoHiveSucre 2022. La verdad, es que hacía muchos años que no me presentaba frente a un público. Digo, lo hago en Hive, pero eso es otra cosa. En vivos hay muchos más factores que considerar.

Antes de contar cómo ocurrir esto, quisiera ir a un detalle muy relavante y que es quizá uno de los problemas más tontos del mundo: los dedos fríos. No hay cosa que fastidie más a un músico. Todos los problemas tienen soluciones fáciles, pero los dedos fríos no. Porque si el caso es que hace mucho frío cubrirse los dedos no va ayudar en nada. Sí, se van a calentar los dedos, pero aparte de eso una capa sirve los mismos, solo entorpece la digitación.

Un profesor me dijo una vez que me tenía que acostumbrar a esto. Siempre lo he visto muy difícil. Vivir en una ciudad costera con una temperatura media de 30°C no te permite acostumbrarte al frío. No hay manera. A esto, hay que añadirle use las extremidades se enfrían entre las lejos del centro del cuerpo se encuentren. Por eso los dedos se enfrían tan rápido.

¿Hay alguna manera fácil de lidiar con eso? La verdad es que no lo sé. Es posible que manteniendo los dedos en movimiento ayude. Pero eso desgasta. Entonces, puede que uno se canse antes de tocar. La verdad que es un tema complicado. También es bien tonto.

A esto estuve sujeto durante mi presentación más reciente. Toqué en el evento de #Hive que se llevó acabo el 26 y 27 de noviembre aquí en Cumaná. Los dedos fríos hicieron de las suyas. Pero igual cumplí con mi cometido. Lo chistoso es que no iba a tocar. Fue algo que ocurrió gracias a la sugerencia de @yulilemus02 y a la intervención de @nahupuku en el evento. De hecho, gracias a Nahu que tengo este video. Estoy muy agradecido con él por dejarme usar esta grabación. Supongo que es algo de ambos porque salgo ahí tocando mi cuatro venezolano.

Debo decir que volver a tocar en público es algo muy interesante. Antes había dicho que no lo volvería a hacer. Pero resulta que ahora soy conocido en el medio de Hive a nivel local y nacional. Y seguramente, no me pueda aparecer en ningún evento y pasar sin tocar algo. Todo un compromiso. Un reto que estoy dispuesto a cumplir.

Esto de ser artista en la #Web3 es genial.

Espero que disfruten de mi interpretación de temas venezolanos. He hecho covers separados de digas piezas, pero les recuerdo los títulos: El Diablo Suelto, El Niño Jesús Llanero, Gaita Onomatopéyica, Atardecer. Alguien me diría, ¿de qué es bueno saber tocar, si no lo haces frente a un público? Es cierto, generalmente, mi público es digital. Sin embargo, tener a parte de ese público en vivo es genial.

Espero que la presentación sea de su agrado. El audio no me es el mejor porque no estábamos preparados para grabar música. Aún con eso, creo que quedó bastante bien.

Playing with Cold Fingers

Good day, my fellow musicians and music lovers in general. Today, I'd like to share some of my musical performance in #ExpoHiveSucre 2022. It has been years since I was in front of public to play as a soloist. I say this because I tend to upload covers on Hive, but that's a different thing. When you go live, there's a lot to consider.

Before telling the in's and out's of the story, I'd like to adress a very silly an important matter for musicians who play instruments, cold fingers. There isn't a thing that bothers a musician more than this issue. Other problems have quick solutions; cold fingers, don't. When there's lots of cold, covering your fingers won't do. You'll need to uncover them once you're going to play. If you don't, well, good luck trying to have a good sound.

A Music Teacher once told me I had to suck it up and bear the cold. That's a tough pill to swallow. Living in a coastal city with an average temperature of 30°C doesn't give you much room to get used to cold. To that, we need to add the fact that the farther your appendages are from your body, the easier the lose heat. That's why fingers are the first thing to fill the chills.

Is there an easy fix for this issue? Maybe, but I don't know it. It is possible to keep the fingers warm by moving them. However, this means getting tired. It isn't an efficient solution. You'd get tired before playing. It's a complex issue to say the least. It's quite silly too.

I was subject to this issue during my performance. As I said before, I played during the #ExpoHiveSucre, a #Hive event held in Cumaná during November 26th and 27th. I did my best during it, but cold fingers were an issue. The funny thing is that I wasn't going to play. It was something suggested by @yulilemus02 and that finally happened thanks to @nahupuku. It is thanks to Nahu that I have my performance on video. I'm grateful he gave me his permission to post it. I guess we could call this a collaboration since I'm the one playing.

I must say that performing live is interesting. Past are the days when I said I wasn't going to do it again. But truth be told, unbeknownst to me, I'm well-known in #Hive locally and nationally. So, I don't think I could get into one of these events without having to play something. It is an acquired challenge. One that I'm willing to accomplish.

Being an artist in #Web3 is great!

That's right. Generally, my public is digital. However, this time I got my digital crowd live. That makes it even better!

The audio isn't the best. We weren't up for music recording. But I think it is decent enough. Besides, it's a live performance!
