Hive Open Mic #136 || El Niño Jesús Llanero || Venezuelan Cuatro Duet Cover 🎶🎵

Buen día, colegas músicos y amantes de la música. Espero que todos se encuentren muy bien. Para esta semana en el #openmic el tema es Let's Rock . No tengo ninguna canción de rock, pero si rockié al lado de mi maestro para este cover.

La semana pasada me habían dado el aviso de que hoy íbamos a grabar este aguinaldo. Se llama "El Niño Jesús Llanero" del inmortal cantautor venezolano, Simón Díaz. La primera vez que escuché este aguinaldo fue gracias a un disco de esos promocionales que vendían en las ferreterías EPA. Quizá más de uno lo recuerde. Gracias a Tío Simón, conocí varios géneros de la música venezolana e internacional.

Espero que etse interpretación sea de sus agrado. Si al profesor Mariña le gustó, seguro es por algo. Fue una experiencia increíble grabar con él. Además, la sugerencia viene no sólo como un tipo de evaluación, pero como un reconocimiento a la habilidad musical. Hoy no quepo en mi de la emoción.

Con esto último me despido hasta la próxima ocasión.

Hello fellow musicians and music lovers in general. I hope you're doing great! For this week's #openmic our topic is "Let's Rock". I don't have s rock song, but I did rock a song alongside my teacher. What could be rockier than that?

Last week he told me we were going to record something today. I was nervous about it, but studied the song as much as I could. This is a Christmas song known as "El Niño Jesús Llanero" (Baby Jesus from the Plains). The first time I listened to this one was in a CD sold by this big hardware stores EPA (Venezuelans will know the reference). And it was beautiful. It is a beautiful song from the immortal composer and singer Simón Díaz. It was thanks to uncle Simón that I discovered many genres of Venezuelan music.

I hope you like our performance. My teacher did like the recording. That must be something. It was amazing to record alongside him. Not because he's my teacher, but because this is an acknowledgement of my music skills. It was something more than an exam. Today, I'm ecstatic!
