The day I found a secret place in Berlin

Hello my dear friends of the Pinmapple community, today, both in the video and in the images, you can see a part of Berlin that at least to me, I fell in love with, even with the cold weather.

That morning I woke up a bit listless, because once again the day was white and the temperature didn't seem to want to improve. But I was a tourist in Berlin, and as such, I had certain obligations, right?

I love touring cities and I didn't expect the cold and the early nights to be an impediment to my mood, but somehow it was.

However, as I was saying, that morning I decided to leave the hostel and go for a walk.

The first thing I did was to go to a supermarket, I went to a Lidl that I didn't know and that was minutes away from the hostel. I bought some chocolate things, because between the fact that I love it and it was cold, it was like a motor for me in Germany.

That time I tried for the first time the Mozart Kygeln, which are really Austrian chocolates, but in Germany, I always saw them in the supermarket. I couldn't leave without knowing what all the fuss was about. And of course, it is a very special candy.

El día que encontré un lugar secreto en Berlín

Hola mis queridos amigos de la comunidad de Pinmapple, hoy, tanto en el video como en las imágenes, podrán ver un sector de Berlín que al menos a mi, me enamoró, aún con el frío que hacía.

Aquella mañana me levanté algo desganada, porque otra vez el día estaba blanco y la temperatura no parecía querer mejorar. Pero yo era turista en Berlín, y como tal, tenía ciertas obligaciones, ¿verdad?

Amo recorrer las ciudades y no me esperaba de mí que el frío y las noches tempranas fueran un impedimento para mi estado de ánimo, pero de algún modo así fue.

Sin embargo como decía, aquella mañana decidí salir del hostel e ir a caminar.

Lo primero que hice fue pasar por un supermercado, fui a un Lidl que no conocía y que quedaba a minutos del hostel. Compré algunas cosas de chocolate, ya que entre que lo amo y hacía frío, era como un motor para mi en Alemania.

Aquella vez probé por primera vez los Mozart Kygeln, que en verdad son unos bombones austríacos, pero en Alemania, siempre los veía en el supermercado. No podía irme sin saber a qué hacía referencia tanto alboroto. Y es que claro, se trata de un dulce muy particular.

As soon as I advanced in my steps, the smile was drawing itself on my face, and the trees, even in their most wintry version, made me happy.

If there is something I love about Germany (among other things I love about this country), it is that at least in the two cities I visited, Berlin and Hannover, there are many parks, huge green areas that are a kind of ever-present escape from the city.

So that morning I kind of let myself be guided by the trees, and I came to a park. It was a bit snowy from what I understood were the first snowfalls of that winter, already in January 2022.

I walked with my boots that I had bought exclusively to be in Germany and endure its low temperatures, I took some pictures and kept walking.

Up ahead a canal caught my eye, so I walked up to it and followed it. Guess what came next?

Ni bien avanzaba en mis pasos, la sonrisa se iba dibujando sola en mi rostro, y es que los árboles, aún en su versión más invernal, me ponían feliz.

Si algo tiene Alemania que amo (entre otras cosas que me encantan de este país), es que al menos en las dos ciudades que estuve, Berlín y Hannover, hay muchos parques, enormes áreas verdes que son una especie de escape siempre presente de la ciudad.

Así que aquella mañana medio que me dejé guiar por los árboles, y llegué a un parque. Estaba algo nevado por lo que entendí eran las primeras nevadas de aquel invierno, ya en enero del 2022.

Caminé con mis botitas que me había comprado exclusivamente para estar en Alemania y soportar sus bajas temperaturas, tomé algunas fotos y seguí caminando.

Más adelante me llamó la atención un canal, así que me acerqué a el y lo seguí. Adivinen qué fue lo próximo…

Well, a lot of murals that went all over a somewhat mischievous sector I would say, since it had the path I was walking along, and then, some stairs began to cross until they got close to the water.

If you let them guide you, you could walk a little further and then you had another staircase to return to the previous path. And later, there was a tunnel I will say, since I do not know what the name of this structure is, but it is like a tunnel for humans, with circular windows and drawings on its walls.

There I ended up being fascinated, since the colors of the drawings captured my attention enormously.

Pues un montón de murales que recorrían todo un sector algo travieso diría, ya que tenía el sendero por el que yo estaba caminando, y luego, unas escaleras empezaban a cruzarse hasta acercarse al agua.

Si te dejabas guiar por ellas podías andar un poco más por allí y luego tenías otra escalera para retomar el sendero anterior. Y posteriormente, había un túnel diré, ya que no sé cuál es el nombre de esta estructura, pero es como un túnel para humanos, con ventanas circulares y dibujos en sus paredes.

Allí terminé de fascinarme, ya que los colores de los dibujos captaron enormemente mi atención.

Although it may seem very simple, that morning turned out to be one of the most beautiful of my trip to Berlin, and as if what I already told you was not enough, some beautiful ducks were next to the Panke canal or river.

Aunque parezca algo muy sencillo, aquella mañana se convirtió en una de las más bonitas de mi viaje a Berlín!, y como si lo que ya les conté fuera poco, unos hermosos patos estaban al lado del canal o río Panke.
