I got wind of this game from one of @daltono's posts where he talked about the director's cut on PlayStation 5. The game looked so damn good, but I have a PS4 for now, and was kind of scared that it wasn't available on my console.
Fortunately, it has a playstation 4 version and there's also the director's cut DLC available for my console. So, without making much inquiry about the game, beyond the pictures and videos from @daltono and then subsequently, @derangedvisions, I aped into the game and ordered it from Jumia.
The intro was really intense and from the beginning, you get an idea of what to expect from the game. My first action was riding on a horse and slicing enemies while riding.
Somewhere in my head(even without seeing @daltono's videos), I already know that I'm going to some horseback fighting.
You get plunged into a war from the beginning, and in the process, you'll be guided through the basics of combat and movement.
After the war, you also get to move around with Yuno to find your sword and also pick up supplies. Still not sure what is inside the bags but it's probably going to be something that improves Jin's stats.
I'm enjoying the experience so far, and yeah, I'm going to pay the extra $20 for the director's cut from the PlayStation store.
All I have now is my first impression because I haven't actually played so much of the game. It's been only a couple of minutes of gameplay and the power keeps going off, so I haven't thoroughly immersed myself into the game.
What I can say for sure is that I have a lot of expectations and look forward to more experiences. Also, I need to get a 4k TV, so I can enjoy this game even more. I feel like my 32inches 1080p TV's rendering quality isn't doing justice to the effects of the game.
PS: SOrry about that buzzing sound in the background. I don't have official Playstation headset, and the Havic headphone I'm using is causing the problem.
