Finally got the Sony Pulse 3D gaming headset/Ghost of Tsushima Testing

After waiting for two weeks and one failed transaction in between, I finally got my headphones. It's an experience that I've been craving for quite some time now, so getting it is super exciting.

I got the headphones for about 70, 000 Naira and that's like $120 in today's exchange rate. However, the word on the streets of the internet is that it trades for about $100 on most markets.

These sorts of gadgets aren't commonplace around here, so we generally pay a little bit extra to get them.

First impression

Well, for one, it looks exactly how I expected it to look. I've seen a lot of cool video clips by @daltono and since he always wears them, I already knew what to expect.

It basically comes with three main accessories;

• A Type C USB charger
• An audio jack for wired use
• A Bluetooth dongle for wireless use.

Does it work on a PlayStation 4?

Yes it works on a PlayStation 4 and I'm not just saying this because it worked on my game, it's clearly written on the box.

I had zero stress using it. All I did was plug in the dongle and started using it immediately.

Totally an upgrade

It's such a relief to finally have quality headphones for gaming. My previous headphones made an annoying buzzing sound in the background of my recordings.

With this one, I get crystal clear sound and noise cancellation. In this video, you can't even hear the sound of a standing fan that's literally right beside me blowing. It'spretty awesome.

There's a lot of reviews about it and many people saying that it's kind of expensive and the mic doesn't work well but I don't know, it seems pretty efficient to me.

The absence of a dedicated microphone hanging out of your mouth is an added bonus to me. I find that mic thing to be distracting.

I've not used in on a chat yet, so I don't know how that will sound like. However, based on this recording, I reckon it'll work well.

I read it also works on PCs as well, in case you're into PC gaming. I plugged the Bluetooth dongle into my Laptop and it worked exactly as the PS4. You can also use the wired connection if you prefer that approach.
