MY FIRST POST ON HIVE OPEN MIC. WEEK 107 “brave mind”

Hello there, so this is my first post on Hive and on the Hive Open Mic challenge. This is my entry for week 107 captioned "Brave heart".

The moment I saw the caption, I knew the song I wanted to sing. This particular song means a lot to me and a lot of people in the world. When it was released, it skyrockted on the charts around the world because it's clear and strong message of self empowerment and standing up against obstacles in life. The title of this song is Roar by Katy Perry.

Roar is a song by American singer Katy Perry for her fourth album "Prism". In February 2020, the music video for Roar reached 3 billion views making it the first video by a female to reach the milestone in YouTube's history. It was nominated for two Grammy awards.

For me, Roar is a song that really helped me when I suffered from low self esteem. Its powerful lyrics always had me feeling better after listening and it's catchy tune always made me keep it on repeat. I would recommend Roar to anyone to listen to because to me, a song is more than a tune, it's a message and when I find a song that does both wonderfully, it becomes a treasure to me and that is what Roar is to me. A treasure.
