Coronavirus Update: We are here in the end of June and are seeing several states with surging coronavirus cases as the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic hits the south and southwest. With these latest trends, some states have slowed their re-opening. There is also this ongoing debate about the usage of face masks, and whether mandatory mask policies should be instated.

Now nobody likes wearing a mask, I certainly don't. However most of us believe it is an effective way to reduce the rate of spread of COVID 19 in the community. We do have some evidence for this (not great data, but some!), and obviously there is very little downside to wearing masks esp if cases are rising. Here I'll try to convinced you why masks should be worn by all especially if you are in one of the hot zones of cases!
