Bratislava - Family walk in the Old Town

When I was studying in Madrid, my grandfather and grandmother always took long walks through the city. When I arrived in that city more than 17 years ago, they took me for those long walks too.

The best thing about those long walks was that my grandfather would start telling me the history of the streets, the buildings and any curious points of the statues. Those walks were very nice for me.

When my wife arrived months later in Madrid, I would take her on those walks and tell her the stories my grandfather told me. Many times I would forget the names of the important people, but we both enjoyed those walks very much.

When you have small children, there are simple things like these that you can't always do, but time goes by and those babies become little girls with lots of imagination and it's up to us to fill their heads with good stories.

This time we took advantage of the spring break to take a long walk through the old town of Bratislava and tell the girls some stories.

Cuando estudiava en Madrid, mi abuelo y mi abuela siempre daban largos paseos por la ciudad. Al yo llegar a esa cuidad hace mas de 17 años, ellos me llevaban a dar esos largos paseos también.

Lo mejor de esos largos paseos era que mi abuelo me empezaba a contar la historia de las calles, los edifiecios y cualquier punto curioso de las estatutuas. Esos paseos fueron muy bonitos para mí.

Cuando mi esposa llegó meses más tardes a Madrid, yo me llavaba a dar esos paseos y le contaba las historias que mi abuelo me contaba. Muchas veces olvidaba los nombre de los personajes importantes, pero ambos disfrutabamos mucho de esos paseos.

Cuando tienes niños pequeños, hay cosas simples como estas que no siempre puedes hacer, pero el tiempo pasa y esos bebes se convierten en niñas con mucha imaginación y está en nosotros llenarles la cabeza de buenas historias.

En esta ocación hemos aprovechado las vacaciones de primavera para darnos un paseo largo por el casto antiguo de Bratislava y contarles a las niñas algunas historias.
