Today's design has no hidden background, nor do I talk about the inner quest, but simply about life, societies and current affairs.

It is my grain of sand to support many people that I know here and I know that they are having a hard time.

Peace and freedom for me are important pillars of life and in many places on the planet today they are absent and it is my heart's desire that they resurface, flourish and people can live them.

The situation inspired me to create this design which I share with all of you. Strength to all Venezuelans.

Design process

The design is made with 6 images and 13 layers.

For the background I chose a watercolour with certain colours and first I applied a crazing filter to make it look like a painting. Then I duplicated that layer and added a diffuse glow filter and a focal light fusion.

On the background I placed the flag in two layers with focal and normal light blends, in both I erased part of the background, although in the second one I only left the stars.

I placed the dove on one side of the design with focal light and then the heart in the centre, below the stars, in two layers with focal and normal light blends. On top of the dove I put the closed fist in two layers with darker colour and soft light fusions, previously erasing the background.

Finally I worked on the woman's face in three layers. The fusions used were darker colour, focal light and normal light, giving a light filter on the latter.

The animation is done completely in After Effects, working on the opacity of each layer and adding lights in the form of clouds for better contrast.

El diseño de hoy no tiene un trasfondo oculto, ni hablo de la búsqueda interior, simplemente de la vida, de las sociedades, de la actualidad.

Es mi granito de arena para apoyar a mucha gente que conozco aquí y sé que lo estan pasando mal.

La paz y la libertad ara mi son pilares importantes de la vida y en muchos lugares del planeta hoy están ausentes y es el deseo de mi corazón que resurjan, florezcan y la gente pueda vivirlos.

La situación me inspiró este diseño que comparto con todos ustedes. Fuerza a todos los venezolanos.

Proceso del diseño

El diseño está realizado con 6 imágenes y en 13 capas.

Para el fondo elegí una acuarela con determinados colores y primero le coloqué un filtro de cuarteado para asemejarla a una pintura. Luego dupliqué esa capa y le puse un filtro de resplandor difuso y una fusión de luz focal.

Sobre el fondo coloqué la bandera en dos capas con fusiones de luz focal y normal, en ambas borre parte del fondo, aunque en la segunda sólo dejé las estrellas.

Puse a paloma a un lado del diseño con luz focal y luego el corazón en el centro, debajo de las estrellas, en dos capas con fusiones de luz focal y normal. Sobre la paloma puse el puño cerrado en dos capas con fusiones de color más oscuro y luz suave, borrando previamente el fondo.

Finalmente trabajé el rostro de la mujer en tres capas. Las fusiones usadas fueron color más oscuro, luz focal y normal, dando un filtro de luz en esta última.

La animación está realizada completamente en After Effects, trabajando la opacidad de cada capa y agregando luces en forma de nubes para un mejor contraste.
