I have always loved felines, not only the big cats like the panther, the lion, the tiger and all the others, but also the small ones, the cats. I have an adoration for them.

It's a connection I've had since before I was born, because my house cat looked after me while I was in my mother's womb. And they never abandoned me, there are always cats wherever I go, even if they are not mine, and when I had mine the connection became stronger.

They say they are the door to the other side, flat and represent the mystery. I identify with them and it is always a recurring theme in my designs, because it comes from my heart.

Design process

The design is made with 7 images and developed in 14 layers in Photoshop.

For the background I chose, to start the animation, two images of forests, which I superimposed, the leaves I put them in two layers with fusions of darkening and focal light.

Then I created the second background that would appear in the animation with images of a planet in the universe and energy. I used normal, focal light and darken blends, plus two layer masks to help me degrade the backgrounds. In total there were six layers with this motif.

In between the two created backgrounds I worked on the panther, the woman and the cat, previously erasing the backgrounds and emphasising the eyes. The fusions I used are strong light and lightening on the different layers.

The animation is done completely in After Effects, working on the opacity of each layer and adding lights in the form of clouds for better contrast.

Siempre me han gustado los felinos, no sólo los grandes felinos como la pantera, el león, el tigre y todos los demás, sino también los pequeños, los gatos. Siento adoración por ellos.

Es una conexión que tengo desde antes de nacer, porque el gato de mi casa me cuidaba mientras yo estaba en el vientre de mi madre. Y nunca me abandonaron, siempre hay gatos allá donde voy, aunque no sean los míos, y cuando tuve los míos la conexión se hizo más fuerte.

Dicen que son la puerta al otro lado, planos y representan el misterio. Me identifico con ellos y siempre es un tema recurrente en mis diseños, porque me sale del corazón.

Proceso del diseño

El diseño está realizado con 7 imágenes y desarrollado en 14 capas dentro de Photoshop.

Para el fondo elegí, para comenzar la animación, dos imágenes de bosques, que superpuse, las hojas las puse en dos capas con fusiones de oscurecimiento y luz focal.

Luego creé el segundo fondo que aparecería en la animación con imágenes de un planeta del universo y energía. Utilicé las fusiones de normal, luz focal y oscurecer, además de dos máscaras de capa para ayudarme a degradar los fondos. En total había seis capas con este motivo.

En medio de los dos fondos creados trabajé sobre la pantera, la mujer y el gato, borrando previamente los fondos y enfatizando los ojos. Las fusiones que utilicé son luz fuerte y aclarado en las distintas capas.

La animación está realizada completamente en After Effects, trabajando la opacidad de cada capa y agregando luces en forma de nubes para un mejor contraste.
