Muslim Convert Murders Four in Paris Police HQ

A Muslim convert working at the Paris police headquarters stabbed three officers and a civilian colleague to death before he was shot dead as he tried to flee. He was identified as Michael Harpon, a Martinique-born Frenchman who worked in IT. He is believed to have converted to Islam two years ago. Christophe Crépin, the spokesperson for the French police union, said it was not being treated as a terror attack but later told NBC News that the national anti-terrorism unit has been assigned to investigate whether terrorism was a motive behind the attack.
