This song called «Venezuela» is considered a classic by most of us as Venezuelans. The popularity and feeling it evokes is such that it is considered the third anthem of Venezuela, the first being the National Anthem (Glory to the Bravo Pueblo) and the second, "Alma llanera". Many generations have sung it in cultural and traditional events in our schools and high schools. I personally think that it is an iconic song, it enjoys international respect and stands out as a representation of the country.
For those of us who still reside in the country, it describes the beauty of our land, since we have deserts, jungles, mountains, plains, icy peaks, beautiful and well-known waterfalls. All this in a single country, we want at some point in our life to get to visit everything named.🥰When I sing it I feel that my hope for a better future increases.

nuevas estrellas,
Y si un día tengo que naufragar
y el tifón rompe mis velas,
enterrad mi cuerpo cerca del mar
en Venezuela.
I carry your light and your aroma on my skin
and the four in the heart
I carry in my blood the foam of the sea
and your horizon in my eyes.
I do not envy the flight or the nest to the turpial
I am like the wind in the harvest
I feel the Caribbean like a woman
I'm like this, what am I going to do?
I am desert, jungle, snow and volcano
and when I walk I leave my wake
the rumor of the plain in a song
that reveals me
The woman I want has to be
heart, fire and spur
with skin tanned like a flower
from Venezuela.
With your landscape in my dreams I will go
for those worlds of God
and your memories at sunset
They will make my path shorter.
Between your beaches my childhood remained
stretched out to the wind and the sun,
and this nostalgia that rises to my voice today
accidentally became a song
I want the immensity of the mountains
and from the river the watercolor
and from you the children who will sow
new stars,
And if one day I have to shipwreck
and the typhoon breaks my sails,
bury my body near the sea
In Venezuela.
