Este estilo de baile se llama «Cutting Shapes» y deriva del Shuffle, que tiene lugar en Australia, más exactamente en Melbourne, y a esto se debe el que en un comienzo se le llamara Melbourne Shuffle. De Australia pasó a Asia, donde se le empezó a llamar Konijnendans. Allí tendría gran fama y más tarde se extendería hasta Occidente, principalmente a Inglaterra, donde tomaría el nombre de Cutting Shapes (o London Shuffle). Otra corriente de este baile llegó a Sudamérica y así ha avanzado, envolviendo a todo el globo.

This dance style is called "Cutting Shapes" and derives from the Shuffle, which takes place in Australia, more exactly in Melbourne, and this is why it was originally called Melbourne Shuffle.
