Last week a sabotage act was carried against undersea oil pipelines in the Baniyas oil refinery, the leak caused local pollution and has now moved north to reach the shores of Jableh.
Syrian minister of environment and the authorities in both Tartous and Latakia provinces have rushed to contain the oil leak and clean the shores from pollution.
