Basma Expansion in Birouni Cancer Treatment Specialized Hospital

The US-sponsored al-Qaeda terrorists tried to blow up this hospital as one of their goals in establishing democracy and freedom in Syria, the US and the EU imposed sanctions on Syria to prevent the country from rebuilding, especially rebuilding its health sector, where western corporations wanted to control, healthcare is the most profitable among all sectors.

Not only the hospital stood the aggression and sanctions, they lost 9 martyrs and 65 were injured of its cadre, it now expanded its children treatment from cancer section.

Syria's First Lady Asmaa Assad, a former cancer patient herself, celebrated with the staff the inauguration of the expansion of the children section along with Basma Charity which helped in finance and equipment.
