SAA Secures Damascus - Aleppo Highway after 7 Years of al-Qaeda Control

The Syrian Arab Army units concluded today its control over the Damascus - Aleppo vital artery connecting a number of important cities in the country including its capital Damascus, its economic capital Aleppo and the major cities of Homs and Hama.

Terrorist groups of al-Qaeda FSA and its variations and affiliates were controlling parts of the road especially in Aleppo and Idlib provinces, and north of Hama province.

More than 160 towns and villages were cleaned from al-Qaeda terrorists in the past couple of weeks only.
