How I Harvested my Rice Seed from The Farm

Hello Hivers, today I will be talking about how you can comfortably harvest your rice to avoid injuries but before I will be proceeding with the explanations, I will like to inform you that I was just surprised when a friend told me some days ago that my rice at the farm is due for harvesting.

After the information days ago concerning that my rice is due for harvest, this early morning, another person also reminded me that I really need to go harvest my rice because if I fail to harvest them on time that birds, foul, and other animals may likely be feeding from it. He also suggested that it will do me good if I harvest it today.

After getting so much information concerning my rice, I had no option but to hire some laborers to support me in harvesting the rice because only me may not be able to finish it today. At least I have other jobs that I have at hand. Immediately i and other laborers entered my rice farm, I was shocked to see that indeed the rice was due for harvest.

Honestly speaking, I was impressed to see the good uncountable numbers of rice seeds the farm was able to produce not minding that there was a transplanting that I did almost one month and some days from the initial planting of the rice. The transplanting happened as a result of a flood that took some of the rice away but luckily for me, I was able to transplant back some rice immediately.

To be honest speaking, I don't think I will be able to buy any other rice from the market again for Christmas because the rice will be enough for me and the family as well. This means that this year Christmas will be celebrated significantly and I hope that you and your family are also planning ahead for this year's Christmas. At least for cost reduction spending during the December period that will soon be coming for 2022.

Materials for rice harvesting:

Sickles: this is like a blade with a sharp zigzag mouth used for the harvesting of rice. It's usually bent like a cobra snake head. Whenever one is using this material, he/she needs to be very careful and focus to avoid cutting off one's hand. This is the type of material I used for today's rice harvesting.

Knife: This is what is commonly known because we mostly use it in the kitchen but the material can also be used for the harvesting of rice. The problem you can always encounter using a knife in cutting your rice is that the knife will always lose sharpness. This is why if you are to be using a knife in cutting your rice, you must go along to the farm with a filing machine to enable you to sharpen back the mouth of the knife and get back to work as quickly as possible.

Tractor and other machines: These are mostly used in large rice farmland for the harvesting of rice but must be controlled by a human.

Processes that I used in harvesting today's rice:

Whenever you want to harvest/cut your rice, you must make sure the rice is properly ripe for harvesting.

You must always make sure that all the materials that you will be using for the rice harvesting are provided and are good for use.

You need to hold your sickle on the right-hand side. After that, use your left-hand side to hold the rice from the bottom side. You can now start cutting the rice but never allow it to scatter.

As you are cutting the rice, make sure that the mouth of the rice containing the rice seed is joined and parked together in one corner of the rice farm.
