Good morning to the entire @hivebookclub community, this is my participation in the call they made for the: "Community Contest #7 : Tell Us About The Best Books That You Read in 2022", where I was cordially invited by my friend @brujita18 and to whom I am pleased to invite my friends @ismaelgranados and @chacald.dcymy.

READINGS FOR 2022

My 2022 was quite overwhelmed by health ups and downs, and other family situations that did not allow me to dedicate the time I would have wanted to reading, but I had the opportunity to delve into the pages of four very interesting works, perhaps some more well-known than the others. but they are all very valuable. Is about:

• One Hundred Years of Solitude by Colombian writer Gabriel García Márquez,
• Moby Dick, the white whale of the American writer Herman Melville,
• The Divine Comedy of the Italian poet Dante Alighieri, and
• The Leopard by the Italian writer Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa.

All started and none completed, but some more advanced than others. Of these 4 works, the best in my personal opinion, or rather, the one that caught me the most, was "One Hundred Years of Solitude", since its context is striking, interesting, and with a touch of rarity that forces us to continue. Go ahead with reading to know its outcome. I stopped reading when my mother entered the terminal stage of her illness, and then for a thousand other things after her death, I did not resume it.

This same year I started the other three works, leaving them with barely a quarter of their content, the one that made the most progress was the Divine Comedy, but I have to confess something very relevant in my role as a reader Vs. my role as a writer, and it is that when it comes to reading I like the narrative genre with all its subgenres more than the poetic genre, being fantasy stories and novels the ones that I enjoy the most, contradictory to this, at the time of writing I develop better in poetry.

THE BEST BOOK READ IN 2022

Without a doubt, of all the bibliographies read, and/or half-read from the previous year, my favorite is One Hundred Years of Solitude, whose main characteristic is the magical literary realism that it structures, from the moment in which so many strange situations that given in the story are seen as something normal and everyday. This work shows us the different generations that are manifested around the life of the Buendía spouses, founders of the town of Macondo, and patriarchs of the family, where incest, deaths, prejudices, and excessive insanity are part of the daily occurrence of that genealogy.

Úrsula Iguarán, the understanding but energetic wife of José Arcadio Buendía, who dies at the age of 115 plunged into the deepest solitude, blind, but with a share of lucidity still present to see and analyze the range of situations that revolve around to her, she dedicated herself for more than 100 years to serving others, to being the engine that drove the Buendía family, and to giving support to Macondo and its inhabitants, the town she founded with her husband, but not to think about her as the main element of his care and attention.

And so, through the years, many generations are formed amid visits by gypsies, supernatural beliefs, non-caste relationships, plagues, wars, superstitions, inexplicable deaths, strange births, and a group of beings upset by loneliness. who embraced their lives despite coming from such a large family, until a natural phenomenon more explainable than their lives decides to wipe out an entire town and a tangled family tree that lasted 100 years.

This marvelous work by Gabriel García Márquez won many awards, and its author's title as the master of magical realism, and although it was not the work that awarded him the Nobel Prize for Literature, it did drive him to get there. I hope to finish this year the brief content of this work that I am missing, although I already know it because it is one of the analysis texts during university studies, I never had the opportunity to read it comfortably without stopping to take note of its structure.

BOOKS I PLAN TO READ IN 2023

I confess that there are many works that I want to read, since being a book collector for more than 30 years, I have achieved a vast repertoire of works that are part of the most precious literary jewels in the world, but with sadness I affirm that I do not I haven't read even a quarter of what I own.
I know that these selections that I made will not be the only ones that I am going to enjoy this year, but they will be the first. Below I mention them and I will give you a brief description of both:

• Sea stone by Venezuelan writer Francisco Massiani
• Metamorphosis of the Czech writer Franz Kafka

I had the opportunity to read Piedra de mar many years ago, but as I said before, I don't enjoy a novel when I constantly have to interrupt it to write down details of its structure because I have to do analysis work with it, and that happened with this work. Now I want to read it calmly to enjoy a sequence of events that are essential to understand it to the end.

I have never read Metamorphosis, I have not even leafed through it, nor browsed through it, but I had the opportunity to read a brief review of its context and I found it interesting, which is why I selected it to start my 2023 reading days.

I hope, together with the works that I have not completed that are also part of my reading this year, soon to have enough analysis material to share with everyone in this community that opens the doors to all reading lovers. Buenos días a toda la comunidad de @hivebookclub, ésta es mi participación en la convocatoria que hicieron para el: "Community Contest #7 : Tell Us About The Best Books That You Read in 2022", donde fui cordialmente invitada por mi amiga @brujita18 y a la que me complace invitar a mis amigos @ismaelgranados y @chacald.dcymy.

LECTURAS DEL 2022

Mi 2022 estuvo bastante atropellado por altibajos de salud, y otras situaciones familiares que no me permitieron dedicarle a la lectura el tiempo que habría querido, pero tuve la oportunidad de internarme en las páginas de cuatro obras muy interesantes, quizás algunas más conocidas que las otras, pero muy valiosas todas. Se trata de:

• Cien años de soledad del escritor colombiano Gabriel García Márquez,
• Moby Dick, la ballena blanca del escritor norteamericano Herman Melville,
• La Divina Comedia del poeta italiano Dante Alighieri, y
• El gatopardo del escritor italiano Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa.

Todas iniciadas y ninguna concluida, pero unas más avanzadas que otras. De estas 4 obras, la mejor en mi opinión personal, o mejor dicho, la que me atrapó más, fue “Cien años de soledad”, ya que su contexto es llamativo, interesante, y con un toque de rareza que nos obliga a seguir adelante con la lectura para conocer su desenlace. Detuve la lectura cuando mi madre entro en etapa terminal de su enfermedad, y luego por mil cosas más después de su muerte, no la retomé.

Este mismo año inicié las otras tres obras dejándolas apenas por la cuarta parte de su contenido, la que más avancé fue la Divina comedia, pero es que tengo que confesar algo muy relevante en mi rol de lectora Vs. mi rol de escritora, y es que a la hora de leer me gusta más el género narrativo con todos sus subgéneros que el género poético, siendo los relatos de fantasía y las novelas los que más disfruto, contradictorio a esto, al momento de escribir me desenvuelvo mejor en la poesía.

EL MEJOR LIBRO LEÍDO EN EL 2022

Sin lugar a dudas, de todas las bibliografías leídas, y/o a medio leer del año anterior, mi favorita es Cien años de soledad, cuya característica principal es el realismo mágico literario que la estructura, desde el momento en que tantas situaciones extrañas que se dan en la historia son vistas como algo normal y cotidiano. Esta obra nos muestra las diversas generaciones que se van manifestando alrededor de la vida de los esposos Buendía, fundadores del pueblo de Macondo, y patriarcas de la familia, en donde el incesto, las muertes, los prejuicios, y la demencia desmedida son parte del acontecer diario de aquella genealogía.

Úrsula Iguarán, la comprensiva pero enérgica esposa de José Arcadio Buendía, que muere a los 115 años de edad sumida en la más profunda soledad, ciega, pero con una cuota de lucidez aun presente para ver y analizar la gama de situaciones que giran en torno a ella, se dedicó por más de 100 años a servir a los demás, a ser el motor que impulsaba a la familia Buendía, y a darle soporte a Macondo y sus habitantes, el pueblo que fundó junto a su esposo, pero a no pensar en ella como elemento principal de sus cuidados y atenciones.

Y así, a través de los años se van formando muchas generaciones en medio de las visitas de los gitanos, creencias sobrenaturales, relaciones no castas, pestes, guerras, supersticiones, muertes inexplicables, nacimientos extraños, y un conjunto de seres trastornados por la soledad que abrazaba sus vidas a pesar de provenir de una familia tan numerosa, hasta que un fenómeno natural más explicable que sus vidas, decide acabar con un pueblo entero y un árbol genealógico enmarañado que duró 100 años.

Esta maravillosa obra de Gabriel García Márquez obtuvo muchos premios, y el título de su autor como el maestro del realismo mágico, y aunque no fue la obra que le concedió el Premio Nobel de la Literatura, si lo impulsó a llegar a él. Espero culminar este año el breve contenido de esta obra que me falta, que aunque ya la conozco por ser uno de los textos de análisis en época de estudios universitarios, nunca tuve la oportunidad de leerla cómodamente sin detenerme a tomar nota de su estructura.

LIBROS QUE PLANEO LEER EN EL 2023

Les confieso que son muchas las obras que deseo leer, ya que por ser coleccionista de libros desde hace más de 30 años, logré un vasto repertorio de obras que forman parte de las más preciadas joyas literarias a nivel mundial, pero con tristeza afirmo que no he leído ni la cuarta parte de lo que poseo.

Sé que estas selecciones que hice no serán las únicas que voy a disfrutar en el año presente, pero si serán las primeras. A continuación se las menciono y les haré una breve descripción de ambas:

• Piedra de mar del escritor venezolano Francisco Massiani
• Metamorfosis del escritor checo Franz Kafka

Piedra de mar tuve la oportunidad de leerla hace muchos años, pero como dije anteriormente, no disfruto de una novela cuando debo interrumpirla constantemente para apuntar detalles de su estructura porque debo hacer un trabajo de análisis con ésta, y eso sucedió con esta obra. Ahora deseo leerla con tranquilidad para disfrutar de una secuencia de hechos que son imprescindibles para entenderla hasta el final.

Metamorfosis no la he leído nunca, ni siquiera la he hojeado, ni ojeado, pero tuve la oportunidad de leer una breve reseña de su contexto y me pareció interesante, es por eso que la seleccioné para iniciar mis jornadas lectoras del 2023.

Espero, junto con las obras que no he culminado que también forman parte de mis lecturas de este año, tener pronto material de análisis suficiente para compartir con todos en esta comunidad que les abre las puertas a todos los amantes de la lectura.
