Since the pandemic took place in 2020 the life of all of us has changed, our habits have been modified in a certain way, many of us like to buy things online instead of going to the physical place, but we need to have the guarantee that the product will arrive in good condition, that we will be able to make some kind of claim if it arrives what we did not order. I think MercadoLibre has been an application with a basic business model, because buying and selling has always existed, but it has taken it to the next level of the production chain, which is to charge for being the intermediary in the transactions.

Its role has been so important in the development of the economy that the result is reflected in the growth of its stock price, which has risen 200% since March 2020, the date of the pandemic, until today, investors who were visionary and invested significant capital in these shares must be enjoying well-deserved profits today.

Desde que la pandemia tuvo lugar en el año 2020 la vida de todos nosotros ha cambiado, nuestros hábitos han sido modificados de cierta manera, a muchos nos gusta comprar las cosas por internet en vez de ir hasta el lugar físico, pero necesitamos tener la garantía de que el producto va a llegar en buen estado, de que vamos a poder hacer algún tipo de reclamo si llega lo que no pedimos. Creo que MercadoLibre ha sido una aplicación con un modelo de negocios básico, porque el comprar y vender desde siempre ha existido, pero lo ha llevado al siguiente nivel de la cadena de producción, que es cobrar por ser el intermediario de las transacciones.

Su papel ha sido tan importante en el desarrollo de la economía que el resultado se ve reflejado en el crecimiento del precio de la acción que cotiza en bolsa, ha subido un 200% desde marzo del 2020, fecha de la pandemia, hasta hoy día, los inversores que fueron visionarios e invirtieron un capital importante en dichas acciones hoy deben de estar disfrutando de unas ganancias bien merecidas.

En el video menciono algunos temas de ser comprador y vendedor en la plataforma, para ser un consumidor, solo se debe crear una cuenta, poner la dirección pagar, preferiblemente a un vendedor con buena reputación y con un volumen grande de ventas, para mayor confianza. Para ser vendedor solo se necesita el producto y una buena cantidad de fotos e información para etiquetar correctamente la venta. Para cobrar el dinero de las ventas realizadas, se debe esperar un plazo de 7 días después de la venta, ese es el margen de garantía para el comprador para realizar algún tipo de reclamo. Del mismo modo, MercadoLibre ofrece la opción de regresar los productos después de 30 días de utilización, lo cual se agradece como cliente, pero puede llegar a ser muy negativo para el vendedor, 30 días da lugar a que el comprador disfrute de la compra gratis por ese tiempo y de todas formas reciba un rembolso. Nunca me ha pasado tener que pagar un rembolso a un cliente, ya que apenas he realizado unas cuantas ventas, pero con seguridad eso es el pan de cada día para muchos vendedores.

Es una noticia bastante positiva para la empresa porque a pesar de ser un gran reto, pueden cobrar algún tipo de comisión por ofrecer el servicio tal como lo hacen los grandes exchanges, y lo bueno de ser ML es que su base de datos es bastante grande, llegando a millones de usuarios que ya la mayoría están KYC, porque es un requerimiento para tener una cuenta en ML

Creo que ML tiene el potencial para ser un gigante como amazon, y podemos pensar en hacer uso de la tecnología que ellos nos ofrecen, bien sea como compradores o como vendedores.
