Today I want to tell you something super cool that happened to me last night.

In an attempt to do something different, my boyfriend and I went out for a walk around the city for a bit and see what new place we could visit to create content for #hive.

The exit turned out to be much cooler than we expected, because during our tour we stumbled upon a beetle car show.

When we got out to take a good look at them, we discovered that they had gone out to make a caravan (which had already ended) and that place where they were at that time was their final meeting point, all on the occasion of the celebration of the *world beetle day * which is celebrated on ** June 22 ** worldwide.

This year, because it fell on a weekday, they decided to hold the celebration on the weekend.

All of them make up a club of fans of this car model in the city of Maturín, they are called 'Airvolks', referring to the fact that this car contains an air cooling system (it is one of its peculiarities), but although they are the only club of our city are not the only ones in the country and less in the world.

We also learned that this peculiar cart is known by many names depending on the country where you are, for example: in Germany they call it Kafer, in the U.S.A. beetle, in Chile poncho, in Colombia they call it flea, in Peru the toad, and thus each country has baptized it with its own special name.

They explained to us that the beetle became one of the best-selling cars in the world for many years and today it has become an icon for those who notice it.

It is said that in every family in the world at some point there must have been one of these carts, and although it is no longer a model that you can get from an agency, there are still many people who value what this cart represents, point of having these kinds of organizations and clubs that honor him.

This club has an Instagram account and you get them as @clubvwmaturin, its president is called Miguel Chauran and it has 21 members of different ages.

They are like a family and they are super nice people. We barely approached them to ask about their reason for being there that night and they greeted us with great enthusiasm.

They were very supportive when we told them we wanted to document the meeting for my blog. We learned that in his club there are certain rules that must be followed to belong to him and his private WhatsApp group. Some of them are;

• Do not send pornographic images or videos.

• All cars must be identified with the club sticker, which cannot change color, size and position where it goes.

• Be active both in this chat and in the club, since people who do not participate are regularly eliminated.

• We are a family, make yourself comfortable and enjoy the trip.

Of course, the first requirement is to have your beetle or a car that has an air cooling system, as are combis.

You must care for it as much as they do, as well as be willing to carry and preserve the concepts of brotherhood they practice and share in all their adventures.

This Maturín club has been founded for 12 years. They travel throughout the national territory doing events, and coinciding with other clubs in the country.

They say that any excuse is a good one to get together and meet more people with the same passion they have for these cars.

Many of them are their own mechanics and those who make aesthetic modifications to their cars, others seek support from those who already have more experience and all help each other to take care of their beautiful four-wheel collection pieces.

They also live transforming them, you will not always see the same car of the same color or design.

We were delighted to meet them and they invited us to their next exhibition which will be here in Maturin in July.

We hope to be able to attend and tell you more about this cool club that we met last night.

Hoy quiero contarles algo súper chévere que me ocurrió ayer por la noche.

En un intento por hacer algo diferente, mi novio y yo salimos a dar una vuelta por la ciudad para pasear un rato y ver que sitio nuevo podríamos visitar para crear contenido para #hive.

La salida resultó ser mucho más genial de lo que esperábamos, pues durante nuestro recorrido nos topamos con una exhibición de autos escarabajo bellisimooosss.

Cuando nos bajamos para verlos bien descubrimos que habían salido a hacer una caravana (que ya había finalizado) y ese sitio donde se encontraban en ese momento era su punto final de encuentro, todo con motivo de celebración por el día mundial del escarabajo que se festeja el 22 de junio a nivel mundial.

Este año por haber caído día de semana decidieron hacer la celebración el fin de semana.

Todos ellos conforman un club de aficionados a este modelo de auto en la ciudad de Maturín, llevan por nombre "Airvolks" haciendo referencia a que este auto contiene un sistema de enfriamiento por aire (es una de sus particularidades), pero aunque son el único club de nuestra ciudad no son los únicos en el país y menos en el mundo.

También aprendimos que este peculiar carrito es conocido con muchos nombres según el país donde te encuentres, por ejemplo: en Alemania le llaman Kafer, en U.S.A. beetle, en Chile poncho, en Colombia le llaman pulga, en perú el sapito, y así cada país lo ha bautizado con su algún nombre especial.

Ellos nos explicaban que el escarabajo llegó a ser uno de los autos más vendidos a nivel mundial por muchos años y hoy en día se ha convertido en un icono para quienes les llama la atención.

Se comenta que en todas las familias del mundo en algún momento debió haber existido un carrito de estos, y aunque ya no es un modelo que puedes conseguir de agencia, todavía son muchas las personas que le dan valor a lo que este carro representa, al punto de tener esta clase de organizaciones y clubes que le hacen honor.

Este club cuenta con una cuenta en Instagram y los consigues como @clubvwmaturin, su presidente se llama Miguel Chauran y cuenta con 21 miembros de distintas edades.

Son como una familia y son personas súper agradables. Apenas nos acercamos a preguntarles sobre su razón de estar allí esa noche y nos recibieron con mucho entusiasmo.

Nos apoyaron mucho cuando les dijimos que queríamos documentar el encuentro para mi blog. Aprendimos que en su club hay ciertas reglas que se deben cumplir para pertenecer a él y a su grupo privado de WhatsApp. Algunas de ellas son;

• No enviar imágenes ni videos pornográficos.

• Todos los carros deben estar identificados con la calcomanía del club, la cual no pueden modificar color, tamaño y posición donde va.

• Estar activos tanto en este chat como en el club, ya que regularmente se van eliminando las personas que no participan.

• Somos una familia, ponte cómodo y disfruta el viaje.

Por supuesto que el primer requisito es tener tu escarabajo o un carro que su sistema de enfriamiento sea por aire como también lo son las combis.

Debe cuidarlo tanto como lo hacen ellos, además de estar dispuesto a llevar y conservar los conceptos de hermandad que ellos practican y compartir todas sus aventuras.

Este club de Maturín tiene 12 años de fundado. Viajan por todo el territorio nacional haciendo eventos, y coincidiendo con otros clubes del país.

Ellos dicen que cualquier excusa es buena para reunirse y conocer más gente con la misma pasión que ellos tienen por estos carros.

Muchos de ellos son sus propios mecánicos y quienes les hacen las modificaciones estéticas a sus autos, otros buscan apoyo con los que ya tienen más experiencia y se ayudan todos entre sí a cuidar sus lindas piezas de colección cuatro ruedas.

También los viven transformando, no siempre verás el mismo carro del mismo color o diseño.

Nos encantó conocerlos y nos hicieron una invitación a su próxima exhibición que será aquí en Maturin para el mes de julio.
