During my first year of working out, I was focused just on lifting the heaviest possible weight. It had to do more with ego than with health, and I thought that as long my muscles are strong due to the weights I lift I'll crush all the pushups, pullups, sit ups, etc.
That turned out to be far from the truth. Also, the more I learn about body building I'm convinced that body weight workouts are better for your health and muscles, they build endurance, and they make you "truly" strong so it's not just about muscle mass.
I'll be trying to replace most of the workouts with bodyweight ones, already did so for many workouts and still will continue to do so.
