Hello wonderful people of this community, I welcome you all to the hive openmic week 213 music competition.
My name is Micheal with the username@ambmicheal and I'm glad to be part of this community and to be able to do this regardless of my flaws and shortcomings
The theme for the week is TAKE ME HOME
Today, I would be doing the cover for the song titled:
Ijoba Orun - Lara George
When I came across the theme: Take me Home the first thing that came to my mind is Heaven and immediately, this my native song popped up in my mind.
Heaven is the home I really want to go to and in as much as nobody wants to die young, if im given a chance to choose between long life and heaven, id gladly choose heaven, because I know id live eternally with no condemnation.
The lyrics of the song states that:
Ijoba orun, lere onigbagbo o
(Heaven is the believer’s reward)
Ma jen kuna baba, mu mi dele o
(Father, don’t let me miss it, Take me home)
As a believer, heaven is my reward and it is what every believer prays and hope for, so the song further emphasize on the fact that "Don't let me miss it, Take me home"
Heaven is portrayed as home in the music, the home of every believer and as such I pray to make it home, I don't want to die like smoke in its path, i dont want to live my life away recklessly onlY to miss heaven.
I urge everybody to live life carefully and be conscious of the fact that there's life eternally after death and just as @starstrings01 must have been thinking in his mind. I hope I'm able to pass his message across as best as possible.
Sit back, relax and watch my rendition as you read the lyrics and interpretation along.
