    Ahora que se acerca la total presencialidad en las aulas escolares me he inspirado en contar cómo fue mi experiencia como profesora de matemática en la modalidad de teleclases, clases grabadas que los estudiantes podían ver en vivo y luego acceder a ellas en cualquier momento a través de una plataforma. Les hablo sobre lo bien que me siento dando clases, cómo fueron las grabaciones y una reflexión final sobre estudiar a distancia en la pandemia.

    Now that we are approaching the total presence in the classroom I have been inspired to tell how was my experience as a math teacher in the modality of teleclasses, recorded classes that students could watch live and then access them at any time through a platform. I tell them about how good I feel teaching, how the recordings went, and a final reflection on distance learning in the pandemic.

    I have always wanted to be a university professor, in fact when I was an engineering student I loved my school so much that I dreamed of becoming a professor there, it was my dream and perfect life.

    But by the time I graduated a very good opportunity arose that required me to move from my beloved Maracaibo and from there develop another professional career completely away from my faculty.

    The possibility of starting as a university professor always remained open, but I always felt that I had to wait for the children to grow up and for me to have more elasticity in my time to do this as something for myself.

    When I was assigned in my job to facilitate some training it was my best moment, I really did it with great pleasure and I always kept my eyes open for requests for workshops, courses, etc.

    So when I was asked to teach an academic module in a specialization that had to do with my area, I was extremely happy.

    The first opportunity to facilitate online academic content came to me with the completion of a distance learning diploma course where I led as coordinator of a module, this was before the pandemic but as they were national studies were conducted through moddle platform.

    Now, already in times of pandemic, the university was very concerned about keeping students active, they hired a team to produce the recording of classes, but they were concerned that in subjects such as mathematics and in all subjects but especially in this one, they would find teachers capable of transmitting their knowledge achieving empathy with students who did not have in front of them in desks and that they would not develop obstacles to develop in front of the cameras.

    They made a casting among the teachers and I was invited to participate, the result left them very encouraged and I received from the mathematics department the program that the academic heads had identified as a priority under the circumstances.

    They designed the curriculum to be developed in 6 classes, it was an initial module, it was a high school review for new students.

    With this I developed my own presentations, as my children are in high school and all the topics were very fresh for me, I must give credit to my children's math teacher because his distance learning materials were some of the ones I consulted to design what I had to transmit.

    It was time for the recordings
    It was a complicated issue to begin with, coordinating my work schedule with the studio and production team, for each class it was very complicated to coincide.

    I met the production team and from the first moment everyone was excellent with me, super cordial, attentive and patient, with such a team it is really easy to achieve this challenging challenge. They said that with me it was very easy and that I was very good at everything, one of the things they told me was that my voice modulation was very good and captured the attention.

    Handling camera directions are not so easy, they told me that with a lot of practice you acquire naturalness, and I shouldn't worry about that at the beginning.

    The first director who was in charge was a bit difficult, but I took everything I had to learn from him and accepted him with gratitude, but for the last two classes he was no longer on the team.

    The final result left everyone very happy, unfortunately, I did not meet all my students, but one or another did and I received good feedback from those with whom I was able to exchange some comments.

    A very good anecdote of the first recording was that I prepared my class and when I finished giving it there were 12 minutes of content time missing, that was a lot of time and it had to be covered so I had to record everything again speaking more slowly because we also concluded that I was speaking very fast.

    When we repeated the recording I was almost 5 minutes short, it seemed like an eternity, and we decided that I had to improvise and that's how it was.

    I liked the experience, I would be willing to do more. I was at the team's disposal if they needed my collaboration again to record another program.

    This experience came to me on this day because I was thinking about 3Speak and Espavlog and how hard it is for me to record a video, I have uploaded 3 videos to the platform and I have not been happy with any of them, I know I need my production team from my math classes, hahahahahaha, just kidding, I know I can do without all that, but how great it would be if I could.
