Solo de Piano de Boranda (salsa) Flute Cover.

Hello, thank you so much for the support in my last post, I am shocked!.

Today I bring you this cover of the piano solo of the Salsa song ‘’Boranda’’, this song was composed in 1966 for the brasilian Singer and composer Edu Lobo, on his native language and in 1977 was traduced and realeased by Ruben Blades and the salsa orchestra ‘’ La Sonora Ponceña’’. The original name of the song is Borandá (with accent) and it means keep going or ‘’seguir andando’’, La Sonora Ponceña was a Puerto Rican salsa orchestra.

For this cover I took the sheet music of this youtube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BM8a_zBzkJ8) , then I recordered an audio and a video with my phone and after I linked it with the track in Adobe Premier Pro.

I really like to play salsa because I think that it gives to the flutist the knowledge of new colors of sounds and a completly different language of expression.This piece came up to me trough an salsa orchestra where I had the opportunity to play a Little and since the first time I heard this solo I just was very excited to play it, and finally there it is. Hoy vengo con este cover de un solo de piano de la canción ‘’Boranda’’ , esta fue escrita en 1966 por el cantautor brasileño Edu Lobo, en su lengua natal y en 1977 fue traducida y estrenada por Ruben Blades y la Orquesta de Salsa La Sonora Ponceña. El nombre original de la canción es Borandá (con acento) y significa ‘’seguir andando’’, la letra habla sobre canticos indígenas brasileños.

Para este cover, tomé la partitura de este video en youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BM8a_zBzkJ8) , luego de eso grabe audio y video con mi celular y lo uní todo en el programa Adobe Premier Pro.

Me gusta mucho tocar salsa porque me parece que le da al flautista el conocimiento de nuevos colores sonoros y una expresión musical distinta. Esta pieza apareció en mi vida luego de un ensayo que tuve con una orquesta de salsa con la cual toqué unas cuantas veces y desde el primer momento que escuché este solo me moría por tocarlo, y finalmente, aquí está!.
