Jamming Zone Week 22 | The beautiful People - Marylin Manson - Guitarcover by @alejandrorigo

My dear #JammingZone friends, it is a pleasure to greet you again and share my entry for this week in this great contest. I had a long time without participating because I have been a little busy with work there. But I really wanted to record this guitar cover and this had to be the perfect occasion. Although it is not jamming as such, it is a song composed with riffs and so on, but let's say I make a groove. Also, the way I had to record this, that was improvisation, starting because I don't have headphones and the monitoring was difficult, I had to put the track playing in the background with low volume so that a lot of noise wouldn't come in when I had to edit the guitar audio, and I could barely hear it and keep up with the rhythm. I had to record it many times because there was always an incident; First it turns out that I was recording with the wrong microphone, then it turns out that the video was being recorded without audio, until in the end it was able to come out, although with a couple of errors with the tempo in a couple of phrases, but it was the best take I ever had. I was able to get out, I was already very sweaty and my pulse was tired, since playing bars on an electric guitar is not the same as playing on an acoustic one.

Mis queridos panas del #JammingZone es un placer volver a saludarles y compartir mi entrada para esta semana en este genialismo concurso. Tenía bastante rato sin participar debido a que he estado un poco ocupado con un trabajito por alli. Pero tenía muchas ganas de grabar este guitarcover y esta tenia que ser la ocasión perfecta. Aunque no se trata de un jamming como tal, es una canción compuesta con riffs y demás, pero digamos que hago un groove. Además la forma en la que tuve que grabar esto, eso sí que fue improvisación, empezando porque no tengo audífonos y el monitoreo estuvo difícil, tuve que poner la pista sonando al fondo con bajo volumen para que no entrara mucho ruido cuando tuviera que editar el audio de la guitarra, y apenas podía escucharla y llevar el ritmo. Tuve que grabarla muchas veces porque siempre ocurría un incidente; primero resulta que estaba grabando con el microfono equivocado, luego resulta que el video se estaba grabando sin audio, hasta que al final si pudo salir, aunque con un par de errores con el tempo en un par de frases, pero fue la mejor toma que pude sacar, ya estaba muy sudado y el pulso cansado, puesto que no es lo mismo tocar barras en una guitarra electrica que en una acustica.

Regarding the song, I think many of us already know it; "The Beautiful People" by the great iconic and controversial Marilyn Manson. This powerful song with simple but technically well-structured riffs, as well as its unmistakable drums, which is a signature in this song...it reminds me a lot of the good times of MTV, that was the first time I saw and heard Marylin Manson . , until that moment I had only seen it in albums of cards. And I was quite shocked to see his performance since he really did look like an antichrist LOL (that's what they said about him back then). To be honest, I didn't like it very much from the beginning, it was a taste that I acquired as time went by. And today I couldn't even imagine making this guitar cover, even when I was in Hive, but well, sooner rather than later, that idea still came to my mind, and I had already been listening to it for several days and learning it well, since as I mentioned... It is a simple song but with its technical things that are key to the fluidity of the song's sound.

Con respecto a la canción creo que ya muchos la conocemos; "The Beautiful People" del gran icónico y controversial Marilyn Manson. Esta potente canción con riffs sencillos pero tecnicamente bién estructurados, al igual que su inconfundible batería, la cual es una firma en esta canción...me recuerda mucho la buena época de MTV, allí fue la primera vez que vi y escuche a Marylin Manson, hasta ese momento solo lo había visto es albumes de barajitas. Y me impacto bastante ver su performance ya que en verdad sí parecía un anticristo LOL (era lo que decían de él en ese entonces) Para ser sincero no me gustó mucho desde el principio, fue un gusto que fui adquiriendo al pasar el tiempo. Y al día de hoy ni siquiera me imaginaba hacer este guitarcover, incluso estando en Hive, pero bueno más tarde que temprano igual me llegó esa idea a la cabeza, y ya tenía varios dias escuchandola y aprendiendola bién, ya que como mencione...es una canción sencilla pero con sus cositas tecnicas que son clave en la fluidez del sonido de la canción.
