Hello, everyone! I've shared few times before about my Tai Chi training and thought I'll show you few forms I've been practicing recently. Forms are structured movements which allow participants to train the basic and advanced movements. Wudang style (originated in Wudang mountains, Hubei province of northern China) is characterized by beautiful movements and, well thought out and diverse forms. In a video I start with a slow Taiji 13 form then move a more dinamic 5 Elements form (Taiyi Wuxing)then continue with a fast and striking, basic Kung Fu form (Jibenquan) and so on.
I've been practicing diligently for about 2 years now and I'm really enjoying it. It connects things I'm passionate about like martial arts, meditation, getting in tune with the body. It also helps that I'm doing it with a group of fun, like-minded people. Some day I hope to visit the Wudang mountains in person and train with skilled instructors of the sanctuary. I'm not that flexible or fast as when I was younger, but the beauty of these practices is that anyone can adjust them to their level of fitness and rip the benefits.
