    Chenna

    Process:
At first we took 250 gram of new raw rice. We cleaned it and soaked in water for couples of hours. Then we took out the rice from the water; put it in a mixer grinder. Then we did the half grinding of the soaked rice, so that the rice should not be polished. If required you can put some milk at the time of grind instead of water and then it is kept in a bowl.
Then we took a big bowl in which the above half grinded rice and chopped fruits with other ingredients like coconut, chenna, sugar or jaggery, ginger, cardamom, black pepper, kaju, kismis, almonds, fruits (as per you wish) . Then we have smashed with our hands as it should have a good coarse texture. Especially this task should be performed with hands because it makes the Makar Chawal tastier. So before doing it, we have cleaned our hands. While mixing it with our hands we added some milk at regular intervals.
