New Threat 2.0 is a fan-made Mod for Final Fantasy VII that completely overhauls the gameplay of the game. I downloaded it as part of 7th Heaven's Mod Pack. This is a playthrough of Game Type-A of the Mod that keeps the major story bits of Final Fantasy VII intact while changing the game balance, adding extra content, and gives the main characters extra abilities.

Nibelheim
Cloud finally reaches back to his hometown Nibelheim, but instead of finding burned ruins, he and the party find the town completely fine. People there don't recognize him, either.
The party decide to go to the mansion and see what's going on.
