Kindom New Lands (and it's classic version: Kingdom Classic) is a side scrolling strategy game about exploring various islands and building and maintaining a community on them.
The game is minimalist in its visuals and gameplay. It uses only two direction buttons for exploration, and one face button for interaction. The core gameplay loop involves gathering coins and spending them on improving the base or gathering more resources. There are also base defend segments as theifs come to raid the kingdom at night.
In this recording you'll see me slowly learn the core gameplay of Kingdom New Lands. Rewatching it before uploading, I find it quite embarrassing that I took a long time to realize I need to Hold the "A" button to spend the coins. Tapping the button will throw them instead.
Kingdom New Lands is a suprisingly deep game despite the simple visuals and gameplay. It's a rougelike game with a lot of replayability.
