    About :

Every week I give my 5 biggest takeaways from the most recent Town Hall. This week was special though as there are so many exciting things coming so I have some extra!

    • Team Taking A Further Look At The Rewards Economy

We already knew this from the post but Matt and the team were able to expound a little more on how they would like to incentivize players to play more than their daily quests and to acheive the highest league they can.

    • Imagine Dragons Partnership

This is very cool. Unofficial at the moment, but if implemented the partnership would happen during the tour and have Splinterlands visible to all the concert goers. That could bring tremendous awareness with such a top tier band!

    • V2 of Splinterlands Being Build Mobile First

For any game to succeed at a mainstream level, people need to be able to play on the go and that is why the focus on mobile will be very crucial. This isn't high priority for the team, but I'm glad it is on their roadmap.

    • 25-30k Chaos Packs in Reward Chests Per Month

The team estimated that 25-30k packs would be given out in reward chests every month (both daily quest and end of season. That amount only puts us at around 300k packs per year but I think most would agree the sale will probably not last that long.

    • Arcade

Many folks including myself were wondering why the team was putting energy and time behind building out an arcade when so many other features were so far behind. Hardpoint clarified that this is a small project only taking up 1% of resources so while I actually do love the idea of the project, I'm glad it is not significantly taking away from other feature development.

    • Riftwatchers in June/July

We were given another rough timeline for Riftwatchers and it seems to continue to get pushed back. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets pushed to Q3 if Chaos takes awhile to sell out.

    • Major Exchanges in Talks

Everyone is waiting for major exchange listings and while I don't think it would be a catalyst for long term price appreciation, it would offer more volume and availability for new and existing players.

    • No SPS Staking Needed to Earn SPS Ranked Battle Rewards

This one caught me off guard but in a good way. Matt spoke about how SPS staking would not be required to earn SPS from ranked battles once implemented. This was a way to encourage those who do not have SPS to earn through playing and evens the playing field for everyone. Great move!

    • Voucher Store Coming to the Shop

As we're all waiting for more utility to come to vouchers and SPS by extension, this sounds awesome! If there are promotional cards or items that are released and placed on a digital shop shelf where vouchers are required, that will not only drive voucher value up but SPS as well as many people would want to start staking SPS to get their own vouchers rather than buy off the market. I hope we get to see this one soon!
