As we are now one week away from the general sale, we are starting to see price floors for some of the top cards in Chaos Legion. I've been using Legendary and Summoner cards as my baselines for deck and it's clear that the separation between the top cards and bottom cards is only widening further.
I compared the Untamed legendary cards as well as that is the closest proxy we have to Chaos Legion, and the spectrum gets even wider there. Obviously with the top monster being Kron that is going to happen, but even the other legendary monsters were highly valued and overpowered versus the others.
I'm not saying Chaos Legion cards will reach these prices anytime soon, but as the game continues to grow and develop I do believe we will see that spectrum continue on the high value vs low value utility cards. As an investor, the question becomes should I buy one of the top cards or several of the lowest cards if I have X amount of dollars. It's difficult to say because the change in meta with every expansion can be incredibly dynamic.
My rule of thumb though is if the monster is good on it's own, it will thrive regardless of the summoner it is paired with. Let's see if it holds true for Chaos Legion as well.
