Yesterday, September 23, I celebrated one more year of life and today I'm sharing with you a little bit of how I celebrated it. Although, the truth is that I'm not one to make big celebrations for my birthdays. I prefer something more intimate and familiar.

In this sense, I recently read a post by our dear @eugelys entitled: Simple, a rich and fun place, where she invites us to choose a place where we can create an unforgettable experience around a delicious meal, especially if it's a special occasion.

Therefore, taking into account this timely invitation, my husband, @n4nd0, and I set out to find that place where we could create an unforgettable moment to celebrate my birthday and in this search we found a restaurant called Piso 28 that seemed to offer what we were looking for. The concept of this restaurant is quite traditional, but what caught my attention is that it is located on the 28th floor of one of the tallest buildings in the city of Antofagasta and also, there is a swimming pool, which I found quite curious and even exciting. So we decided to make a vertiginous ascent to have lunch with height on the 28th floor.

The first impression I had was in the elevator, because I think it was the first time I went up to such a high floor. I felt some vertigo. Jiji!

When we entered the restaurant I liked the quiet and exclusive atmosphere. Immediately, one of the girls welcomed us with a wide and beautiful smile and asked us if we wanted to sit at a table with city view or ocean view. We chose city view because we could also see part of the sea. Well, with that welcome my little foodie heart told me that we had chosen the perfect place.
On the table there was a plate with a QR code to see the menu. When we were at the table, one of the girls brought us some warm bread with butter and a delicious sauce.

To start, we ordered a couple of beers and a chicken Caesar salad to share. The sauce for this salad was brought separately, so the bread cubes were quite crunchy, a detail I appreciate in a Caesar salad, and the lettuce felt very fresh.

As a main course I ordered a Spaghetti al frutti di mare with a special sauce that enhanced the flavor of the shrimp and oysters, an exquisite Parmesan cheese and also had a touch of oregano and olive oil. I want to emphasize that the presentation of this dish was really beautiful and delicate.

Fernando ordered a grilled Albacore served directly on a griddle and you could hear the pleasant sound of the fillet on the hot griddle. Albacore, also called "swordfish" is a type of fish that belongs to the tuna family, it is found in the Pacific Ocean, exclusively in the coasts of Chile and as a curious fact it has no bones.

For dessert I ordered a Creme Brulee, but before they brought me the dessert, the girls who served us arrived with a fabulous surprise; a brownie with two scoops of ice cream, one with red fruits and the other with chocolate, covered in chocolate syrup and whipped cream with a candle to sing my birthday to me. My husband took it upon himself to let them know it was my birthday! Hahahaha!

I honestly did not expect it and I must say that I enjoyed it very much and was immensely grateful for this nice gesture from the restaurant and the girls who sang my birthday to me. I received the best attention. I felt like a queen.

I enjoyed the food, the whole place, the view and the impeccable service. For me the Restaurant Piso 28 has a 10/10.

The best of all is that the goal was achieved which was to get a place to create an unforgettable experience.

Hola, mi linda gente de @foodiebehive en Hive! Espero se encuentren bien y dispuestos siempre a dar lo mejor.

El día de ayer, 23 de Septiembre, cumplí un año más de vida y hoy les comparto un poco de cómo lo celebré. Aunque, la verdad no soy de hacer grandes celebraciones para mis cumpleaños. Prefiero algo más íntimo y familiar.

En este sentido, recientemente leí una publicación de nuestra querida @eugelys que se titula: Simple, un rico y divertido lugar, donde nos invita a elegir un sitio donde podamos crear una experiencia inolvidable en torno a una deliciosa comida, sobre todo si se trata de una ocasión especial.

Por lo tanto, tomando en cuenta esta oportuna invitación, mi esposo, @n4nd0, y yo nos dimos a la tarea de buscar ese lugar donde crear un momento inolvidable para celebrar mi cumpleaños y en esta búsqueda conseguimos un restaurante que se llama Piso 28 y que parecía ofrecer lo que andábamos buscando. El concepto de este restaurante es bastante tradicional, pero lo que me llamó tremendamente la atención es que está ubicado en el piso 28 de uno de los edificios más altos de la ciudad de Antofagasta y además, hay una piscina, lo que me resultó bastante curioso y hasta emocionante. Así que decidimos hacer una subida vertiginosa para almorzar con altura en el Piso 28.

La primera impresión que tuve fue en el ascensor, porque creo que es la primera vez que subo a un piso tan alto. Sentí algo de vértigo. Jiji!

Cuando entramos al restaurante me gustó el ambiente tranquilo y exclusivo. Inmediatamente, una de las chicas nos dio la bienvenida con una amplia y hermosa sonrisa y nos preguntó si queríamos sentarnos en una mesa con vista a la ciudad o vista al mar. Elegimos vista a la ciudad porque también se podía ver parte de mar. Bueno, ya con esa bienvenida mi corazoncito foodie me decía que habíamos elegido el lugar perfecto.
En la mesa había una placa con un código QR para ver el menú. Cuando ya estábamos en la mesa una de la chicas nos trajo unos pancitos bien calentitos con mantequilla y una salsa que estaba muy rica.

Para empezar, pedimos un par de cervezas y una ensalada César de pollo para compartirla. La salsa que lleva esta ensalada la trajeron a parte, así que los daditos de pan estaban bastante crocantes, un detalle que aprecio en una ensalada César y la lechuga se sentía muy fresca.

Como plato fuerte pedí una Spaguetti al frutti di mare con una salsa especial que elevaba el sabor de los camarones y los ostiones, un exquisito queso parmesano y además tenía un toque de orégano y aceite de oliva. Quiero destacar que la presentación de este plato fue realmente hermosa y delicada.

Fernando pidió una Albacora a la plancha servida directamente en una plancha y se podía escuchar el agradable sonido del filete sobre la plancha bien caliente. La Albacora, también llamada "Pez Espada" es un tipo de pez que pertenece a la familia de los atunes, se consigue en el Océano Pacifico, exclusivamente en las costas de Chile y como dato curioso no tiene espinas.
Para el postre pedí un Creme Brulee, pero antes que me trajeran el postre, las chicas que nos atendieron llegaron con una fabulosa sorpresa; un brownie con dos bolas de helado, una de frutos rojos y otra de chocolate, bañadas en sirope de chocolate y crema chantilly con una velita para cantarme el cumpleaños. Mi esposo se encargó de hacerles saber que yo estaba de cumpleaños! Jajajaja!

Honestamente no me lo esperaba y debo decir que disfruté muchísimo y agradecí inmensamente ese lindo gesto del restaurante y las chicas que me cantaron el cumpleaños. Recibí la mejor atención. Me sentí como toda una Reina.

Disfruté de la comida, de todo el lugar, de la vista y de la impecable atención. Para mí el Restaurante Piso 28 tiene un 10/10.

Lo mejor de todo es que se logró el objetivo que fue conseguir un lugar donde crear una experiencia inolvidable.
