Gracias a la siempre atenta amiga Liz nos hemos puesto al tanto con la emocionante iniciativa que ha planteado
@rosahidalgo llamada un amor para la historia.

Donde nos motiva a relacionar nuestra historia de amor con una canción.

Quien no se ha enamorado bajo las dulces redes de una canción?
Eso es algo muy romántico y especial.

Yo también tengo una canción con la que identifico a la persona que amo.

Pero, para que entiendan por qué esta es la canción de mi historia de amor, los voy a poner un poco en contexto

Yo siempre he pensado que la pareja perfecta no existe.

Ese hábito que tenemos, por cierto muy humano, de idealizar a los otros es algo que no trae nada bueno.

Nos hacemos una larga lista de virtudes que aspiramos tener en nuestro compañero, lo cual solo nos lleva a continuas frustraciones y decepciones.

Con el transcurrir del tiempo, la vida nos va enseñando que debemos aceptar a las personas tal cual son, disfrutando de sus virtudes, lo cual es la parte fácil, y también, tolerando sus defectos, que seconvierte en la parte más difícil.

Es así como, encontrar la pareja perfecta parece una tarea imposible.

Pero desde mi punto de vista, la mejor forma de encontrar la compañía ideal, es conocernos bien a nosotros mismos.

Porque es responsabilidad nuestra poder determinar cuál es el único defecto que no podemos tolerar. Te aseguro que así la búsqueda de pareja será mucho más sencilla.

Está es la forma como yo analizo mi situación.

Mi compañero de vida tiene muchos defectos. Siempre, a modo de chiste, digo que tiene tantos defectos como un árbol en flor.

Pero no tiene el único y gran defecto que yo no puedo tolerar.

Y el gran defecto que no podemos tolerar va a variar según cada uno de nosotros.

Aprovecha este momento y piénsalo, elige un solo defecto, el más intolerable de tu lista personal.

Yo tengo el mío.

El resto de los defectos de mi compañero, he aprendido a manejarlos. Lo tolero, lo comprendo y en último caso y como decimos en el argot popular "me hago la loca".

Pero el gran defecto que yo no puedo tolerar, él no lo tiene, y eso lo hace, para mí, la persona perfecta y especial.

Es por eso que lo identifico a él con esta icónica canción de los años 80.

Para mí, la letra de la canción lo describe muy bien porque, por ejemplo, su compañía me da tranquilidad y estabilidad.

Además, él tiene un gran mérito, y es que ha aprendido a lidiar con mi carácter, con mi forma de ver la vida y con la forma en que yo hago mi vida.

Soy un alma libre y él lo entiende.

Es por eso que se convirtió en mi persona perfecta.

I’ve always thought the perfect couple doesn’t exist.

But from my point of view, the best way to find the ideal company is to know ourselves well.

This is how I analyzemy situation.

My life partner has many flaws. Always, as a joke, I say he has as many flaws as a flowering tree.

But he doesn’t have the one big flaw that I can’t tolerate.

And the great flaw that we cannot tolerate is going to vary from one to another.

Take advantage of this moment and think about it, choose a single defect, the most intolerable of your personal list.

I have my own.

The rest of my partner’s flaws, I’ve learned to handle. I tolerate it, I understand it and ultimately and as we say in popular slang "I play crazy".

But the great defect that I cannot tolerate, he does not, and that makes him, for me, the perfect and special person.
