Todo me gusta de ti || I love everything about you

Lately I have been reading about Filin, a musical movement that took place in Cuba in the '50s where the singer's freedom was given priority. This was accompanied by a fundamental role in the melody and the harmonies that accompanied them were extremely complex and free as well.

Thinking about My Melody, I thought it would be interesting to try a little of the freedom offered by the Filin, but with a traditional bolero. For this purpose I chose one of which I like the melody very much and which is one of the favorites, among the connoisseurs of the genre.

It is a composition of the Dominican Cuto Estevez, a musician who had a great career as a trumpet player, but whose only known composition is this one, but which was enough to leave his name in Latin American musical history.

The original version was recorded by his fellow countryman Alberto Beltrán, with the Cuban group La Sonora Matancera.

This is my participation in the Hive Open Mic, week 96.
