For this week, in which the theme is " Lost", I did the process in reverse. That is, for a long time I wanted to record a song that I really like and what I did was to see how it would be "explained" to bring it to you today. But the task was simple, because without a doubt something that is very easy to lose is a love that pays you badly. Betrayal is capable of ending even the deepest love, so being the song "Fuiste mala" ("You were bad"), it was already clear that it fits perfectly in this week.

Cumbia is a Colombian rhythm, the result of the mixture of Indians, Spaniards and Africans, and is of enormous tradition in that country. But its rhythm, so tasty, danceable and catchy, made it spread throughout the continent and settled very strongly in several countries, so that today we can speak of Argentine, Chilean, Venezuelan, Ecuadorian, Central American and Mexican cumbia.

In the United States, there is a very prominent surname in the Mexican style, the Quintanilla family, a whole caste of specialists in cumbia, from which came the famous Selena and A.B. Quintanilla, who was her brother, producer and also the creator of Kumbia Kings.

It is precisely from him this composition, recorded by that group, with which you can appreciate a very particular sound, which I personally love.

So without further ado, I share with you "Fuiste mala", with which I make my participation for the Hive Open Mic in its 97th week.

Para esta semana, en la que el tema es "Perdido", hice el proceso a la inversa. Es decir, desde hace tiempo quería grabar una canción que me gusta mucho y lo que hice fue ver como se "explicaría" traerla hoy para ustedes. Pero la tarea fue sencilla, porque sin duda algo que es muy fácil perder es un amor que te pague mal. La traición es capaz de acabar hasta con el amor más profundo, así que al tratarse de la canción "Fuiste mala", ya estaba claro que encajaba a la perfección en esta semana.

La cumbia es un ritmo colombiano, resultado de la mezcla de indios, españoles y africanos y es de enorme tradición en ese país. Pero su ritmo tan sabroso, bailable y pegajoso, hizo que se regara porr el continente y se asentó con muchísima fuerza en varios países, por lo cual hoy en día se puede hablar de la cumbia argentina, la chilena, la venezolana, la ecuatoriana, la centroamericana y la mexicana.

En Estados Unidos hay un apellido muy destacado en el estilo mexicano, la familia Quintanilla, toda una casta de especialistas en la cumbia, de donde salió la famosa Selena y A.B. Quintanilla, quien era su hermano, productor y también el creador de Kumbia Kings.

Es precisamente de él esta composición, grabado por ese grupo, con la cual podrán apreciar un sonido muy particular, que a mí, en lo personal, me encanta.
