If there is something that makes us get out of our comfort zone, it is the opposition. This week there have been power outages from 1:00 p.m. at 4:00 p.m. m., which makes it difficult to comply with some things that I have programmed. One of the things that he learned about the importance of planning is to establish alternative plans. If plan A fails, then we go for a plan B, or a plan C, and in extreme cases a plan D. The plan to cover those hours is to work at dawn. Some things are beyond our control, there are many things that do not depend on one, in the case of electrical service it often depends on other people. I am aware that this alters my lifestyle and that I am not the only one affected by these circumstances. I have to act with resilience and patience. Life has its challenges, and it is better to see the glass half full than half empty. In the hours that there is no electricity, I take a nap, and if I feel encouraged, I study during those hours with the trumpet.
I share my interpretation with the trumpet of "The Winner Takes It All", a pop song by the Swedish group ABBA. It was composed by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus. It has a key signature in G flat major, in my case I play it in A Major. The song talks about someone who has separated from his partner, and has feelings of sadness and failure over the breakup. Now, the title of the song refers to the fact that someone wins from that separation. I think that no one is destined to fail, one must build success in family life. No one in the wedding party thinks about failure. At least, that is not in the mind of the couple who gets married. Guests and family will probably bet they won't last a year. That is why the decisions we make before and during marriage have a great impact on family life. Choose well who you are going to love, and then dedicate yourself entirely to loving that person you chose. So, you'll be a winner take all.
I don't wanna talk
About things we've gone through
Though it's hurting me
Now it's history
I've played all my cards
And that's what you've done too
Nothing more to say
No more ace to play
The winner takes it all
The loser's standing small
Beside the victory
That's her destiny
I was in your arms
Thinking I belonged there
I figured it made sense
Building me a fence
Building me a home
Thinking I'd be strong there
But I was a fool
Playing by the rules
The gods may throw a dice
Their minds as cold as ice
And someone way down here
Loses someone dear
The winner takes it all (takes it all)
The loser has to fall (has to fall)
It's simple and it's plain (it's so plain)
Why should I complain? (Why complain?)
But tell me, does she kiss
Like I used to kiss you?
Does it feel the same
When she calls your name?
Somewhere deep inside
You must know I miss you
But what can I say?
Rules must be obeyed
The judges will decide (will decide)
The likes of me abide (me abide)
Spectators of the show (of the show)
Always staying low (staying low)
The game is on again (on again)
A lover or a friend (or a friend)
A big thing or a small (big or small)
The winner takes it all (takes it all)
I don't wanna talk
If it makes you feel sad
And I understand
You've come to shake my hand
I apologize
If it makes you feel bad
Seeing me so tense
No self-confidence
But you see
The winner takes it all
The winner takes it all
So the winner takes it all
And the loser has to fall
Throw the dice, cold as ice
Way down here, someone dear
Takes it all, has to fall
And it's plain, why complain?
