Happy New Year to all. I'm happy to share in the Hive Open Mic in Week #195, where we explore the theme: "Friendship" chosen by a friend and recent featured artist in our community: @nazatpt. Today I share with you my trumpet performance of “Friend Like Me,” a spectacular song from the 1992 Disney film, Aladdin, composed by Alan Menken with lyrics by Howard Ashman. It is sung by the Genie, voiced and animated in the original film by the incomparable Robin Williams, during Aladdin's second wish. The song is written in the key of D minor, which adds a certain darkness and intrigue. The melodic line is virtuosic, full of octave leaps, ornamental melismas, and challenging rhythmic phrasings. Hoy les comparto mi interpretación con la trompeta de «Friend Like Me», una canción espectacular de la película de Disney de 1992, Aladdin, compuesta por Alan Menken con letra Howard Ashman. Lo canta el Genio, con la voz y la animación en la película original del incomparable Robin Williams, durante el segundo deseo de Aladino. La canción está escrita en la tonalidad de D menor, lo que aporta cierta oscuridad e intriga. La línea melódica es virtuosa, repleta de saltos de octava, melismas ornamentales y fraseos rítmicos desafiantes. Imitando el estilo de improvisación del jazz. In the Bible we find wonderful teachings about what friendship means. In John 15:13, it says, "Greater love has no one than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." Friends are the people who support us in good and bad times. They are the ones who are there for us when we need them most. When we are willing to give our lives for our friends, we are showing that we value them and that we care about their well-being. Now we don't have to give our physics, but we can give our time, talents, and skills. When we can love others with unconditional and sacrificial love, we are making the world a better place. I have great friends and I feel so happy to have them. Friendship is like a precious diamond, often difficult to obtain. But once it is in our hands, it is important to take care of it.

En la Biblia encontramos maravillosas enseñanzas sobre lo que significa la amistad. En Juan 15:13, dice: "Nadie tiene mayor amor que este, que uno ponga su vida por sus amigos". Los amigos son las personas que nos apoyan en los buenos y malos momentos. Son los que están ahí para nosotros cuando más los necesitamos. Cuando estamos dispuestos a dar nuestra vida por nuestros amigos, estamos demostrando que los valoramos y que nos importa su bienestar. Ahora no tenemos que dar nuestra física, pero sí podemos dar de nuestro tiempo, de nuestros talentos y habilidades. Cuando somos capaces de amar a los demás con un amor incondicional y sacrificial, estamos haciendo del mundo un lugar mejor. Tengo grandes amigos y me siento tan feliz de tenerlos. La amistad es como un diamante precioso, muchas veces difícil de conseguir. Pero una vez que está en nuestras manos, es importante cuidarlo.
