• Once on the terrace we have several compost garbage cans, this one has been parked for 3 months. In it we can see some gnats that are some of the decomposing agents and if we zoom in we will find other bugs that are doing their job. This compost is still very humid, this humidity is filtering and forming a liquid called leachate (we will talk about this in the next chapter).
• The next compost garbage can has been parked for 5 months, we can see how its volume has also been reduced, it is a little drier. In fact, its dry ingredients are different, this one has bits of cardboard, bits of paper, bits of wood, bits of grass.
  It has different elements but it is still wet, so we cover it and let it continue its cycle.
• The next compost, which is already 7 months old, also has more cardboard leaves and more dry elements, we are going to stir it a little, it no longer has any smell, it has lost its humidity, so we see that it disintegrates just a little bit compact, it is almost finishing its process, we stir it well and see that it disintegrates by itself.
  Each compost is made in a different way but they work the same.
• The next batch, which is 9 months old, was made only with grass or turf and wet elements or wet organic elements and grass as a dry element, so we got a compost with a strawier consistency.
• The last compost that is almost a year old, I made this one only with leaves collected from the autumn pruning. This compost is already mature, the soil although it is still humid is already completely decomposed, now I am going to show you each one of the protagonists of our compost which is the earthworm "Carlota", she does not like the sun very much but she is the main actress of our compost, she is the viscera of our soil, she eats everything, she helps to decompose our soil, she gives us a lot of nutrients.
  This is a very good soil, we can mix it with perlite, river underwater with soil for recycling and we will get as a result a soil full of nutrients to be able to plant whatever you want.
