There are simple and crowded forms of music. When I was younger, I liked to listen to the songs of more loud and crowded orchestras or to listen to the music made in concerts where many instruments were intertwined. But at this time, when I was in my thirties, my ear started looking for a little more simplicity. If possible, I started to like the recordings with a single instrument or at most two instruments and a vocal.

I can observe that this tendency is increasing in people as well. We're really fed up with the chaos of city life and what we're looking for outside of work is a little more peace and quiet. The music I make is also very suitable for this and I can meet this need with a single instrument. Sometimes we come together with a guitarist and produce records, which is very tasty, but now I avoid the big noise.

My record today is located in a place that corresponds to this need. This folk song called "Call I Call Dost", which I played and sang, has a very plain and naive structure in itself. The words belong to Niyazi Misri, one of the ancient mystical poets. The composition is by folk music artist Lütfü Gültekin. I enjoyed reading it, I hope you will too.

Müziğin sade ve kalabalık halleri var. Daha genç yaşlardayken daha çok sesli ve kalabalık orkestraların şarkılarını dinlemeyi ya da birçok enstrümanın içiçe olduğu konserlerde yapılan müziği dinlemeyi seviyordum. Fakat otuzlu yaşları geçetiğim bu zamanda kulağım biraz daha sadelik aramaya başladı. Mümkünse tek enstrümanlı ya da en fazla iki enstürmanın ve bir vokalin yer aldığı kayıtlar daha çok hoşuma gitmeye başladı.

İnsanlarda da bu bahsettiğim eğilimin arttığını gözlemleyebiliyorum. Şehir hayatının kaosundan bıktık gerçekten ve iş dışında aradığımız şey biraz daha dinginlik ve sukünet. Benim yaptığım müzik de buna çok uygun geliyor ve tek enstrümanla bu ihtiyacımı karşılayabiliyorum. Kimi zaman bir gitarist ile yan yana gelerek de kayıt üretiyoruz ve bu da oldukça lezzetli fakat artık büyük gürültüden kaçıyorum.

Bugünkü kaydım da bu ihtiyacıma denk düşen bir yerde konumlanıyor. Çalıp söylediğim "Çağırırım Dost" isimli bu türkü kendi içinde oldukça sade ve naif bir yapıya sahip. Sözleri çok eski mistik şairlerden Niyazi Mısri'ye ait. Bestesi de halk müziği sanatçısı Lütfü Gültekin'in. Ben severek okudum, umarım siz de beğenirsiniz.
