Our Lord Jesus Christ amended the law of Moses and he gave another set of commandments. 2Cor. 3:6 speaks of the new testament that is not based on the letter but, on the spirit which gives life. Also, in Heb. 10:28, Apostle Paul states how anyone that despised the law of Moses was killed without mercy.
There was a necessity to change the law of Moses which Jesus did. This is why the apostles are the ministers of the new testament as Heb. 10:28 states.
Jesus illustrated the new law in Mt. 5:21-22, saying that being angry with your brother without a cause shall put you in danger of the judgement; and saying Raca to your brother brings you to the danger of the Council; and further, calling someone a fool brings you to the danger of hell fire.
We see that these laws are even more strict than those of Moses.
Further still, Mt. 5:28 considers a lustful look at a woman as commiting adultery already. So, there's a more strict law for Christians than those of the ten commandments of Moses.
