What I understand from this Brother Eli's video:

Christ wants us to do good works all the days of our lives. In Mt. 7:24 Jesus says that whosoever that hears his words and do them is a wise man. And we know that both his sayings and examples are good works. For instance, he admonishes us to love our enemies. That's a good work.
In Mt. 7:26, he says anyone that hears his words and do them not is a foolish man who builds a house on the sand that could not withstand the weather. It therefore means that those not doing the word of Jesus cannot stand. They'll fall.
Believing the word without putting it into practice is not the way. The biblical truth is that we should do good works for our faith to save us. James 2:22 states that our faith is made perfect with our works.
Further, James 2:26 says faith without works is dead. And Philippians 2:12 is where Paul admonished the Philippians to work out their salvation. So, faith goes together with works so as to achieve salvation.
