It does not appear to make sense to say there are lost tribes of Israel. This is because they are still here on earth. Besides, it's a promise of God that Israel will not be totally removed from the earth.

Talking about the Holocaust, it's true there was a time the Nazi Germany, under Hitler tried to eliminate the Jews, and they killed about 6 millions of them yet, the Jews still remain till date.

We do not know the classification of the present day Jews, based on their tribes. In fact, 1Tim. 1:4 de-emphasised the issue of geneology, meaning that tribe one came from is not significant any more. And Gal. 3:28-29 makes it clear that it's no more necessary to say we're Jews or Greek, because we're all equal in Christ.
