La serie de solos de guitarra no podia parar durante tanto tiempo!

Hace unos días estuve intentando aprender un solo de guitarra de la banda Rata Blanca, específicamente el solo del tema "El guerrero del arco iris" pero me tropecé con un tema que nunca había escuchado de ellos.

El tema se llama "La canción del guerrero". Es el tercer tema de su sexto album de estudio titulado "El camino del fuego". Al escuchar el solo quedé encantado, es ese tipo de solos que te enganchan a la primera, entonces me dije: ¿Por qué no intentarlo de una vez?

The series of guitar solos couldn't stop for so long!

A few days ago I was trying to learn a guitar solo from the band Rata Blanca, specifically the solo from the song "El guerrero del rainbow" but I stumbled upon a song that I had never heard from them.

The theme is called "The Warrior's Song". It is the third song from his sixth studio album entitled "El camino del fuego". When I heard the solo I was delighted, it's that kind of solo that hooks you the first time, so I said to myself: why not try it once and for all?

Eché a un lado el solo que tenía pensado grabar y lo reemplace por este. La armonía tiene progresiones de música clásica muy tipicas de esta banda, de hecho me llamo poderosamente la atención que la melodía tiene una frase casi idéntica a un fragmento de unos de los temas más famosos del guitarrista Yngwie Malmsteen llamado "Far beyond the sun".

No es un secreto que el guitarrista de Rata Blanca, Walter Giardino, tiene una fuerte influencia de Yngwie Malmsteen; mi guitarrista favorito por cierto.

También note que esa frase está armonizada con otra guitarra de fondo, muy interesante está armonización porque no se limita a las notas de la escala principal. El tema está en la tonalidad de F#m, para ejecutarlo baje la afinación de mi guitarra medio tono.

I put aside the solo I was planning to record and replaced it with this one. The harmony has very typical classical music progressions of this band, in fact I was struck by the fact that the melody has a phrase almost identical to a fragment of one of the most famous songs by guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen called "Far beyond the sun".

It's no secret that Rata Blanca's guitarist, Walter Giardino, has a strong Yngwie Malmsteen influence; my favorite guitarist by the way.

Also note that this phrase is harmonized with another background guitar, very interesting is harmonization that is not limited to the notes of the main scale. The song is in the key of F#m, to play it I lowered the tuning of my guitar half a tone.
