    y me resistia a subir.

    Saludos!

I'm finally posting this song, which I recorded last week
and I was reluctant to upload.
    Why?
Simply because it's far from my comfort zone, but nevertheless it's a style that I'm so familiar with when I start to move through it.
The momentum is always short, and I end up getting dazzled by some riddim or
boombap that makes me shake my head. By this I mean that although Argentine and Latin American popular music in general fascinates me and I consider myself an avid listener, I've never really dabbled in the way I would have liked to absorb and apprehend its yeites.
This particular song is by perhaps my favorite singer (or rather one of my favorite singers) who is Ricardo Manuel Gómez, better known by his stage name: Jacinto Piedra.
He was one of the members of MPA (Musicos Populares Argentinos) the band that revolutionized the misnamed Argentine folk music by incorporating electric instruments and making arrangements that played with jazz.
I will surely make a post some day about this group, as well as the discussion of Popular Music versus Folklore.

Back to the subject, although I stripped the song of its original rhythm, I think there are still some traces of what it should be...To keep the rhythm I made a loop and listened to it through
headphones. That's why I have the cable tangled in the musculosa.
The truth is that I don't think I'm singing this song well and I was tempted to overdub vocals to support the original, as well as to add that bass drum loop and fill it up more.
But one of the guidelines I set for myself to do this series of acoustic recordings is that they should be whole takes of voice and guitar at the same time. That is, no post production.
I think this song closes the acoustic cycle until I buy strings again and enjoy its brilliance.
I want to thank all of you who support me with your upvote and comments.
    Regards!
