Monday Drumday: Full of Metal

I am late with my Monday Drumday post as 3speak is having some issues. I try to save the post and nothing happens.

I was doing the Drumeo 30 Day Chops challenge last week, but this week it has just got beyond my skills. That is okay as I can always come back to it later. I could get back to their Method courses. The next lesson on that was metal drumming fills. The lesson video has six of those and they give patterns for another four. I downloaded the tab and had that up on screen whilst I played along to their backing track on my Roland TD-07 drums. I used a 'Metal' preset, of course.

I tried playing all the different fills, but had to give some a few goes to get closer to being right. I do not anticipate playing a lot of metal, but you can adapt fills to different styles. It increases your drumming vocabulary and keeps things interesting.
