We always focus on the fact that if you're not a winner you're nobody, but... Have you ever thought about those victories that don't have a physical prize but only satisfaction? I do.

Yesterday we went to Carúpano, Sucre State, Venezuela, where we went to a Karate Do competition, which is the sport that my son practices, a sport that began thanks to the advice of César's psychologist who recommended doing a sport that develops gross motor skills, which is what makes our body have coordination.

So, it was 4:30am and I was already up making breakfast, at 5:30am we were on our way to the meeting place with the other athletes and representatives. We arrived on time, like never before hehe

We got on the bus and César was very happy, he was excited, he saw the bushes, the animals, happy with his trip and experience, as you can see that he never took him out or at least we had a long time without leaving Cumaná.

On the road, the driver was going very fast, he grabbed the curves and we moved around a lot, César didn't like that, he told me it was uncomfortable and he even held me so I wouldn't fall, hehe. How cute!

Continuing with the story, we arrive at the Carúpano Vertical Gymnasium, for those who do not know, it is a building that the Government built to have a place where athletes will train as well as having a park for the little ones.

THERE WERE 5 FLOORS THAT I HAD TO CLIMB, I got to the top with my tongue hanging out, climbing stairs right now is not my strong point because I have active allergic asthma and I am coughing a lot, I get tired quickly so it was a challenge for me.

At 10:30 am the competition began, it began with the 4-5 year old children and so, when it was Cesar's turn, he was very sure that he was going to do well, but given his condition, he still had a long way to go. improve many things that other children do not, for example, if they watch the video, the kata (imaginary combat), does not do the position of the legs as it should and even some positions in the arms.

Now, what they wanted to see was the development in the kumite (hand-to-hand combat), where César was not giving his best, he was afraid of blows, of being hit, he ran away, they hit him, he cried, that's how he went but...

Despite having lost and not scoring any points, he did very well, he defended, he fought, he faced off, that was the end of the competition, with whom he competed are children who do very well, they have the potential and do good karate , so my son is not a match for them. It will be. Yes it will be.

After their competition, they played, ran, ate, messed around. It was 6:00 pm and we were still there, the event ended at 8:00 pm taking us the 4th place by team, since the other groups were bigger than ours, not because of talent, but because of the number of children competing.

When we got on the bus, while we started, it was 8:30 pm, the Shihan says some words of encouragement and between those, he begins by saying that there is a boy who he did not think was going to do much and gave much more than expected, he said that he was going to give him the medal he had in his hand for his good performance and in that he named César Gabriel.

The emotion on his face was not normal, although he was tired, he couldn't stand his feet, he jumped up and put on his medal with a giant smile on his face. They applauded his merit, which is also mine, because I celebrate his achievements as if they were achieved.

It was all work between the Shihan, the boy and myself for supporting them both. Now he wants me to lose weight, we have to help him lose weight a bit, control his diet and eat nothing more, let's see if we can do it.

We start home, sing, stop somewhere to stretch our legs and continue home. We arrived home at 11:30 pm, tired and happy to be home.
